One of our major clients, an innovative international shipping company, is seeking an IT Administrator (System/Network) to join their team in Hyderabad (Kukatpally)
Role Overview:
This full-time on-site role is critical in managing and supporting the organization's IT infrastructure, including system and network operations. The IT Administrator will ensure optimal functionality of IT systems and networks, deliver technical support, and maintain high standards of security to support business operations.The candidate must be able to work independently, prioritize multiple tasks, and be available for 24/7 support when required, including support for US-based and remote users.
Key Responsibilities:
System Administration:
- Administer and maintain Windows, Linux, or macOS systems (servers, workstations, and end-user devices).
- Install, configure, and update hardware and software systems for seamless operation.
- Monitor system performance, diagnose issues, and apply updates, patches, and backups to ensure security and stability.
Network Administration:
- Manage and configure LAN, Wi-Fi (routers, switches, firewalls), VPN infrastructure, and IP PBX/VOIP telephone systems.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues across wired and wireless platforms.
- Implement and enforce network security protocols to protect against internal and external threats.
Security Management:
- Maintain and update firewalls, antivirus software, and other security tools.
- Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
- Respond to and mitigate security incidents and cyber threats.
Technical Support:
- Provide IT support to internal users, resolving hardware and software issues.
- Assist with the onboarding and training of staff on new IT systems and tools.

Collaboration & Project Support:
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional IT teams to deliver projects on time.

Additional Skills.
- Proven experience as an IT Administrator, System Administrator, or Network Administrator.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Linux/Unix, or macOS operating systems.
- In-depth understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN) and network equipment (routers, switches, firewalls).
- Familiarity with cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud is a plus.
- Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions.
