Common accountabilities:

- Accountable for the budget, performance and results of a medium-sized team or multiple teams of employees. Influences the resource, budget and policy planning and sets concrete development plans for the team members.

- Has a mid/long-term vision of the activity and the business, influences the department's strategy based on a broad understanding of the environment. Exposed to complex decision making.

Specific accountabilities:

UX Strategy
- Work with Product Management, customers to develop a product vision.
- Contributes to define the User Experience Strategy of a product or service by understanding business context, product strategy, customer values and brand vision.
- Influence, via UX, the scope and direction or a product or service to generate value and impact on the market.
- Foster innovation by initiating relevant UX research programs, brainstorming sessions, putting in place processes and methodologies around innovation, and by working with transversal innovation teams.

Budget activities
- Plan, monitor and coordinate activities of the team by initiating regular interactions with product owners / product management, budget line owners, transversal teams.
- Develop detailed budget and timelines, monitor budget and resource allocation.

Project management
- Communicate to promote the team in order to make sure UX is taken into account as soon as possible in the processes.
- Reply to RFP and participate to pre-sales activities, make presentations to internal and external customers.
- Anticipate team activity and capacity planning.
- Manage UX partnerships and contracts with external companies.

UX Research activities
- Collaborate, guide and influence the team and deliveries by giving research directions and advices on the projects
- Develop a high visibility with top management, marketing and customers
- Manage projects with UX external partners, ensuring that:
- product/project teams provide the right level of information and relevant testing material to external partners
- that research methodology applied by external partners is adequate

UX Design activities
- Collaborate, guide and influence the team and deliveries by giving design directions and advices on the projects UX strategy.

    Basic Qualifications

    - Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL
    - Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements

    We are looking for a UX Manager to lead and grow a high-performing team of UX, front-end engineering and program management professionals-working collaboratively with user research, engineering, and product management through all aspects of the product design and development lifecycle. The ideal candidate will have a proven record of delivering against a vision and supporting their team's growth, and a strong online portfolio. They'll also have a deep passion for defining the future of audio entertainment across multiple platforms and modalities - mobile, desktop, TV, voice/multimodal.
    To succeed in this role, you must have high judgement, be an innovative self-starter with clear design chops, and a strategic big-picture thinker who leads through others.
