Your key responsibilities

Technical Excellence

· Identify & internally escalate and potential red flags related to the engagement.

· Preparation of reports/deliverables/status updates/audit committee presentations.

· Demonstrate the ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects as directed by the managers.

· Handling data analytics - Access, ACL etc.

· Proactively identify and escalate counselees not being chargeable on engagements.

· Awareness of internal auditing standards issued by IIA and ICAI.

    As a Senior Consultant in Payments team, you will be in a client facing role on strategy and operating model, transformation and implementation projects. You will combine domain expertise in payments with consulting skills to solve complex challenging problems in retail and commercial payments for financial institutions, payment system operators, payment service providers and fintechs.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Be responsible for assisting clients on various initiatives such as business strategy, operating model, business plans, market assessment, market entry, regulatory approvals, new product development, SOPs, campaign management, migration, gap analysis and process improvement, implementation, program management and others.
  • Deliver exceptional client service by understanding engagement objectives, business needs, critical outcomes, and timelines.
  • Builds positive and credible working relationships with client stakeholders.
  • Be a single point of contact for a workstream/module of the engagement
  • Actively participate in client workshops, discussions, and meetings
  • Prepare high-quality deliverables / work-products for assigned workstream of the engagement in timely manner and inline with EY’s quality standards.
  • Provide a recommendation that addresses the customer’s objectives, articulates the value proposition & eliminates obstacles. Map requirements with EY solutions to design a best fit approach.
  • Lead program management activities including preparation of updates for SteerCo meetings, RAID logs, escalations and change management.
  • Assist EY Partner/Director on preparation of sales collaterals such as RFP response, client proposals decks and pitch presentations
  • Collaborate seamlessly with multiple EY teams on proposals and engagements
  • Be up to date on recent developments in payments industry, including regulations and leverage that knowledge and insights for engagements and proposals
  • Be a strong contributor to knowledge sharing efforts within the team and the firm as a whole, actively contribute to thought leadership publications.
  • Coach junior team members and help in their areas of improvement
  • Skills:
  • In-depth understanding of payments ecosystem, especially retail payment systems in India
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance, business and operating models, and technology platforms
  • Must be proficient one or more areas in payments and have ability to learn on the job to build expertise in other areas
  • Structured thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Detail oriented, data driven and analytical approach
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent in building presentations under guidance of senior team members

  • Must Have:

  • Drive the business development process on new & existing client engagements by gathering appropriate resources, gaining access to key contacts & supervising proposal preparation.
  • Identify buyers, influencers & stakeholders in existing client engagements and build strong relationships.
