**About the Role** : Amgen is seeking a dedicated and skilled Finance Manager to lead our FIT Reporting + Analytics (FITRA) team in India. As the sole FITRA team manager on the ground in Amgen India, you will play a key role in ensuring the successful delivery of essential financial reporting and analytics deliverables while contributing to strategic corporate initiatives.
**Primary Responsibilities** :
+ Manage daily reporting refresh operations, including resolving outages, user security issues, and data security challenges.
+ Conduct weekly quality control checks on dashboards to ensure data integrity and proper functionality.
+ Develop Tableau dashboards, including creating new ones and enhancing/fixing existing dashboards to meet the needs of our 1,000+ strong user base and senior leaders.
+ Collaborate with the US-based FITRA team to explore and potentially transition from Tableau to Power BI.
+ Support as needed data, reporting, and technology projects aligned with strategic corporate goals.
**Team Management** :
+ Supervise a team of two staff members (one associate and one senior associate).
+ Ensure timely and quality-controlled delivery of work.
**Collaboration** :
+ Partner with US FITRA colleagues and FIT Data + Analytics (FITDA) colleagues to achieve shared objectives.
+ Report directly to the hiring senior manager based in Thousand Oaks, California.
**Required Skills and Qualifications** :
+ Advanced proficiency in Tableau development and Power BI development.
+ Development experience with cloud storage and ETL tools such as Databricks and Prophecy.
+ Working knowledge of Python and SQL.
+ Solid understanding of finance concepts, financial statements and financial data.
+ Effective reporting design sensibility, including an acumen for the different ways to tell a story or present insights in reporting.
+ Skill in managing large and complex datasets.
+ Strong people management and project management skills.
+ Clear, concise verbal and written business communication.
**Additional Preferred Experience** :
+ Familiarity with Oracle Hyperion, Anaplan, SAP S/4 Hana, Workday and JIRA.

**What will you do**
In this vital role as a Data Analytics Manager you will play a meaningful role in fully understanding financial data and associated systems architecture in order to design data integrations for reporting and analysis to support the global Amgen organization. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
+ Developing a robust understanding of Amgen's financial data and systems in order to support data requests and integrations for different initiatives
+ Working in close partnership with clients or team members to design, develop and augment the financial datasets
+ Providing client-facing project management support and completing hands-on Databricks/Prophecy development as well as Power BI or Tableau as time and priorities allow
+ Designing and developing the underlying ETL data processes used to build various financial datasets used for reporting and/or dashboards
+ Identifying data enhancements or process improvements to optimize the financial datasets and processes
+ Understanding the regularly scheduled financial datasets in Databricks and Tableau or Power BI dashboards refresh processes on an ongoing basis
+ Involvement in the Financial Data Product Team, as a finance data subject matter expert.

**Description:**
**The Manager, Analytics,** will be responsible for supporting the Director, Data, Performance and R&D Strategy lead with data and performance efforts for the entire Global Procurement organization. This role supports the documentation of scoring performance against Global Procurement's priorities and objectives. This includes reporting on data gathering requirements, goals, priorities, and documenting key performance indicators (KPIs) for the procurement portfolio. This role will support Global Procurement by providing appropriate data to generate value opportunities ensuring realization.
This role will support and enable the development and implementation of all initiatives within the Procurement multi-year functional strategic roadmap that will focus on analytics capabilities. This role plays a part in managing procurement activities strategically and efficiently & identifying areas of continuous improvement / efficiencies where applicable.
**Major Responsibilities and Accountabilities:**
+ **Data and Analytics**

+ Partners with BIA, Procurement and IT Teams to deliver necessary data management tools and system solutions, identify business challenges; use fact-based solutions and data analysis to help influence changes to operations, process or programs; and, champions movement to an organizational 'Lead with Data' mindset.
+ Collaborate effectively across matrix environment, build strong partnerships, good interpersonal, presentation, communication & negotiation skills
+ Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively
+ Very well versed with business, data and technical language to connect processes, tools & data
+ Ability to communicate complex quantitative analysis in a clear, precise, and actionable manner.
+ Maintains and ensures quality assurance of key data sets, reports and metrics that are relevant and insightful and highlight key trends in human capital dynamics.

**Minimum Requirements:**
+ BA/BS in a quantitative major or concentration required.
+ 5+ years of experience developing and using advanced analytics and reporting techniques
+ 3+ years of experience in performing Procurement analytics or relevant experience
+ Advanced experience in Tableau and Power BI
+ Ability to work in a fast-paced global environment with multiple competing priorities
+ Experience in supporting new capability development, pilots, and integration
+ Experience in leveraging methods such as Design Thinking and Human Center Design to generate high value questions.
+ Analytical mindset, intellectual curiosity, creativity, strong attention to detail and execution skills
+ Experience working with tools across the analytic stack including data management tools; like MapReduce/Hadoop, SPSS/R, SAS, and Workday for data management, advanced analysis, and insights, along with ETL tools (Tableau, Power BI) for data integration.
