**Data Analytics Manager**
**What you will do**
Let's do this. Let's change the world. This role will be the Strategic Insights + Analytics (SIA) Team's resident subject matter expert on reporting design, meaningful metrics, storytelling through reporting and building reports optimized to meet stakeholders' needs. This person will have expert hands-on Tableau, Power BI, and ETL development skills - including, but not limited to, the ability to quickly build minimum viable product dashboards as required by Amgen leaders and key stakeholders. Finally, this role will also provide consultation support to other reporting + analytics developers in Amgen's CFO organization.
**Primary Responsibilities:**
+ Provide actionable, expert guidance to the SIA and FIT Reporting + Analytics teams regarding reporting design and development
+ Personally develop key reporting and analytics in Tableau or Power BI in response to critical, just-in-time CFO organization requests
+ Progress quickly developed reports to polished, automated, future-proof end states
+ Help design and implement a SIA/FIT reporting + analytics strategy, which could include but isn't limited to a full scale reporting migration from the Tableau application to Power BI
+ Stay current with latest reporting + analytics trends and technology and make reporting strategy recommendations as needed to SIA/FIT leadership
**Collaboration:**
+ Partner with both US and India-based SIA and FIT colleagues to achieve shared objectives
+ Report directly to the hiring a senior manager based in Thousand Oaks, California.

Position: Analytics Manager
Role Description:
The Analytics Manager will be responsible for the analytics function at Openplay, developing data-
driven strategies, and providing actionable insights to support business objectives. This role requires a deep understanding
of data analytics, statistical methods, and business acumen to drive decision-making processes across the organization.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for data, a strategic mindset, and strong ability to derive data backed actionable
insights.
Key Job Responsibilities:
A. Data Management
• Develop and implement comprehensive data analytics strategies that align with business goals and
drive growth.
• Oversee the end-to-end data management process, including data collection, data warehousing, and data
governance.
• Ensure data quality, accuracy, and integrity across all analytics initiatives through rigorous validation
and testing procedures.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize data infrastructure and streamline data workflows.
B. Analysis and Reporting:
• Conduct advanced data analysis using statistical techniques, AI & machine learning, and predictive
modeling to uncover trends, patterns, and insights.
• Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using data visualization tools (Tableau,
Superset, etc.) to effectively communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Provide actionable insights and recommendations to business teams & management based on data
analysis to enabled data backed decision making.
• Perform ad-hoc analysis to address specific business questions and challenges as they arise.
C. Collaboration and Communication:
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, across growth, risk, CRM, product etc., to understand their
data needs and provide analytical support
• Present findings, insights, and recommendations to senior management and other stakeholders in a
clear, concise, and compelling manner.
• Participate in strategic planning sessions, contributing data-driven perspectives and insights.
D. Continuous Improvement:
• Stay updated with the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in data analytics, machine learning,
AI and data science.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices and tools to enhance the
efficiency and effectiveness of analytics.
Expected Experience
• Proven experience of 4+ years in data analytics, data science, or a similar role, with a track record of
delivering impactful insights.
• Proficiency in analytical tools and languages such as SQL, R, Python, and data visualization tools (e.g.,
Tableau, Power BI).
• Experience with data warehousing solutions and big data technologies
• Knowledge of statistical methods, machine learning algorithms, and predictive modeling techniques.
• Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) is a plus.
• Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills
• Excellent communication & documentation skills

Qualification:
• 4 to 6 years of work experience in a relevant role
