Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced CNC Programmer with a strong background in aerospace manufacturing to join our precision engineering team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in multi-axis CNC programming, aerospace component machining, tool path optimization, and process improvement ensuring adherence to aerospace standards and tight tolerances.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
•Develop, verify, and optimize CNC programs for 3-axis, machines using software as CATIA CAM and Vericut
•Interpret aerospace component drawings, GD&T symbols, and manufacturing specifications to create efficient machining strategies.
•Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure manufacturability and compliance with aerospace standards (AS9100, EASA, etc.).
•Select and define appropriate cutting tools, speeds, and feeds to ensure precision and productivity.
•Troubleshoot machining and programming issues to minimize downtime and improve cycle time.
•Conduct first article inspection (FAI) and ensure program validation meets dimensional and surface finish requirements.
•Maintain accurate records of CNC programs, setup sheets, and tooling lists.
•Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and digital manufacturing projects in alignment with AXISCADES’ operational excellence goals.
Required Skills & Qualifications
•Diploma / bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Production, or Aerospace Engineering.
•10–12 years of hands-on experience in CNC programming for aerospace components.
•Strong proficiency in CATIA CAM (mandatory).
•Expertise in Vericut simulation and verification (mandatory).
•Sound understanding of GD&T, aerospace tolerances, and machining best practices.
•Experience in 3-axis machining and working with high-precision aerospace-grade materials.
