Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Data Architect to design and govern Tanla’s enterprise-wide data ecosystem. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in enterprise data modeling, master data management (MDM), and telecom data architectures to build a unified, compliant, and scalable data infrastructure. You will play a strategic role in shaping the architecture for data lakes, warehouses, and real-time pipelines, ensuring data integrity, governance, and adherence to industry standards like GDPR and TRAI.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of scalable enterprise data platforms (data lakes, data warehouses, and real-time pipelines).
- Define and manage enterprise data models, ensuring consistency across systems and domains.
- Implement and maintain Master Data Management (MDM) frameworks for unified and accurate business data.
- Integrate and optimize telecom data sources — including OSS, BSS, network telemetry, CDR, and subscriber data.
- Establish and enforce data governance, metadata management, and security frameworks.
- Ensure compliance with GDPR, TRAI, and other regulatory standards related to data privacy and retention.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams — product, engineering, analytics, and security — to align data strategy with business goals.
- Evaluate and recommend distributed database technologies to support high-volume, low-latency use cases.
Required Skills:
- 10–15 years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or related domains.
- Proven expertise in enterprise data modeling and MDM implementation.
- Strong understanding of telecom data ecosystems (OSS, BSS, network telemetry, CDR, subscriber data).
- Experience designing and deploying data lakes and warehouses on cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Knowledge of real-time streaming architectures (Kafka, Flink, Spark Streaming).
- Expertise in distributed databases (Cassandra, HBase, Bigtable, Snowflake, etc.).
- Hands-on knowledge of data governance, metadata management, and lineage tools.
- Familiarity with data security and compliance (GDPR, TRAI, ISO 27001).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Data Management, or Information Systems.
- Experience leading large-scale data modernization or migration initiatives.
- Exposure to AI/ML data pipelines and data observability tools.
- Strong communication and leadership skills to drive data strategy across multiple business units.
