Role Summary

We are seeking a high-performing and well-connected Sales Director to lead the growth of our IT Staffing, Offshoring Solutions, and Global Capability Center (GCC) consulting services in India, with a strong regional focus on Hyderabad . This role demands a proven sales leader who brings a strong track record of generating new business, expanding strategic accounts, and owning client relationships in the local Hyderabad IT ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

1. New Business Development

  • Drive revenue growth by acquiring new clients for IT staffing, managed services, and offshoring delivery models.
  • Identify, engage, and convert mid-sized to large IT/Tech enterprises or MNCs looking to build or scale their offshore teams or GCCs in India.
  • Leverage personal and professional networks within Hyderabad to tap immediate business opportunities.
  • 2. Client Relationship Management

  • Establish and maintain C-level relationships with client stakeholders across Hyderabad’s IT/ITES ecosystem.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for client strategy discussions, ensuring value delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Regularly meet clients in-person to strengthen trust and improve deal conversion rates.
  • 3. Strategic Sales Execution

  • Own the end-to-end sales lifecycle – from lead generation, pitch, solutioning coordination, commercial negotiation, to closure.
  • Collaborate closely with delivery, recruitment, and operations teams to build tailored proposals for IT staffing/offshore/GCC needs.
  • Develop quarterly and annual sales plans aligned with company growth targets.
  • 4. Market Intelligence & Positioning

  • Keep abreast of hiring/offshoring trends, emerging tech clusters, and GCC movements in Hyderabad and broader India.
  • Represent the company in industry networking events, startup ecosystems, and IT corridors in Hyderabad (e.g., HITEC City, Gachibowli).
  • Required Skills and Experience

  • 10+ years of experience in IT services, IT staffing, or offshoring sales, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership or director role .
  • Proven experience in selling to or working with clients operating out of Hyderabad .
  • We need a candidate who has worked for all Hyderabad-based clients.
  • Demonstrated success in winning new logos and growing large accounts.
  • Deep understanding of offshoring delivery models, GCC lifecycle, and IT hiring challenges in India.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and client management skills.
  • Ability to work independently, take ownership, and build business from scratch.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field (MBA preferred).
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience with large-scale IT staffing vendors, global offshoring firms, or GCC setup partners.
  • Understanding of compliance, labor laws, and regulatory considerations for staffing and offshoring in India.
  • Existing client base or warm prospects in Hyderabad will be a strong advantage .

    Responsibilities

  • Support the sales team by taking a consultative role in supporting customers’ evaluation processes, including making architectural recommendations, troubleshooting development/configuration issues, and managing escalation to Engineering
  • Articulate and educate on technical and architectural concepts to a variety of audiences, including developers, architects, IT operations professionals, and senior IT management
  • Sell the value of Axway products, through multiple channels, presentations, and live/online product demonstrations
  • Post sales, support the implementation teams in capturing the customer requirements and provide necessary architectural guidance
    Position Deliverables
  • Create and deliver custom product demonstrations to support the sales cycle
  • Perform technical discovery with customer prospects and quickly architect/build proposed solutions using Axway products
  • Successfully manage and execute technical proof of concepts (POCs), on-site or remote
  • Able to respond to functional and technical elements of RFIs/RFPs
  • Collect feedback from the field, synthesize, analyze and channel to Product Management and Engineering for product roadmap
  • Responsible for representing the product to customers and at field events such as conferences, seminars, etc.
  • Support Marketing with developer marketing and evangelism activities, including writing blogs, participating in demo-driven webinars, and speaking at industry events
  • Develop, test and deliver integrations for customers to provide highly scalable and repeatable integrations
  • Perform deployments of the software to customer non-production and production environments
  • Qualifications

    Requirements & Preferred Skills

  • Integration product experience is required. Must have worked with one of the integration vendors, that include Mulesoft, SoftwareAG, Boomi, Informatica, IBM, BEA, Oracle, TIBCO, etc.
  • Integration and interface development knowledge/skills with one of the major integration vendors
  • Experience with XML, JSON, AVRO, PARQUET, EDI, Flatfiles, JMS, Kafka, WS-*, SOA integration, API Management technologies and standards, REST, SOAP APIs, as well as DevOps (Docker, Kubernetes/helmcharts)
  • Experience in big data technologies is plus
  • Good understanding of HTTP, SFTP, AS2 protocols
  • Experience responding to functional & technical elements of RFIs/RFPs
  • Ability to code and debug against Java APIs (past experience as a Java Developer preferred)
  • Understanding of enterprise hosted/SaaS, AWS, Azure, Openshift deployments using Kubernetes
