Overview:
Could you oversee all legal resource related activities concerning our worldwide group, advising all areas of the company on legal/compliance?

We are a multi-national technology services and infrastructure provider that helps international clients solve their challenges, with over 1,500 staff across 25 global locations. Core service offerings are: Procurement & Logistics, Operational Support, Managed Resourcing, Transformation Services and Managed Infrastructure.

Delivering to financial budgets you will own the strategic and operational legal direction of the company as well as managing the legal team and international advisors currently including Clifford Chance and CMS. The board will need your vital advice in all areas of risk, as you maintain the company risk register and help mitigate commercial and compliance risks. You will also design and implement legal policies and procedures and own, design, implement and advise on corporate governance.

You must of course ensure contracts and documents are in line with applicable laws and business purposes globally and close out any legal disputes. You will also co-ordinate company secretarial work and deal with litigation matters in house and/or with external counsel.

To be considered for this key senior role within our organisation you must hold a UK legal qualification or international equivalent, with a current practicing certificate and have experience as in-house counsel. You will have comprehensive “hands on” knowledge of law and corporate business practices both here in the UK and overseas.

**Responsibilities**:
Tasks
- Ensure contracts/documents are in line with applicable laws and business purposes globally;
- Own strategic direction of legal and advise the board in all areas of risk

- Own, Design, Implement and advise on corporate governance

    Basic Qualifications

  • Law degree (e.g., LLB, JD, LLM) from a recognized university and active enrollment with a State Bar Council in India, demonstrating the ability to practice law in India.

  • 12+ years of relevant legal experience, with a focus on investigations, regulatory law, or a combination.

    Your role

    and responsibilities:

    Under the mentorship and supervision of senior legal team members, lead a team of attorneys based in Mumbai to handle Nasdaq’s enterprise commercial client and procurement agreements. A typical day will include:

  • Being responsible for the drafting, review, analysis and negotiations of a variety of commercial and licensing agreements, including, but not limited to, SaaS client and vendor agreements, licensing agreements, NDAs, and sponsorship and events.

    Qualifications:
    • LL.B. or LL.M. degree from a reputable law school.
    • Admitted to practice law in India, with a valid Certificate of Practice.
