Key Responsibilities:
- Hygiene & Safety Audits:
Conduct personal hygiene checks, store audits, and comprehensive food safety audits. Train workers on Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and food safety protocols. - Quality Testing:
Perform testing on raw materials, finished products, and environmental samples including swabs (hands, equipment), air, and water to ensure microbial safety. - SOP Management:
Review and revise microbial Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in compliance with relevant Indian Standards (IS). Document and report any deviations, rejections, or non-conformances. - Product Evaluation:
Assess product attributes such as taste, texture, flavor, density, weight, height, and color for syrups, sponges, creams, chocolates, fruits, and food colors. - Chemical Analysis:
Conduct chemical testing on dry products such as sponges, toast, khari, and cookies to ensure quality and safety. - Food Safety & Hygiene Monitoring:
Ensure operational controls such as functioning fly catchers, proper covering and labeling of raw and finished materials, removal of expired stock, machine cleanliness, and effective cooling of sponges. - Contamination Control:
Identify root causes of contamination and cross-contamination, and promptly report findings to appropriate stakeholders. - Communication & Reporting:
Inform Heads of Departments (HODs) and supervisors regarding any non-compliance, contamination issues, or quality deviations to facilitate timely corrective actions.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelors degree in Food Technology, Microbiology, Biotechnology, or a related field.
