About Client: Talworx is an emerging recruitment consulting and services firm, we are hiring for our client which is a leading precision medicine company focused on guarding wellness and giving every person more time free from cancer. Founded in 2012, we're transforming patient care by providing critical insights into what drives disease through its advanced blood and tissue tests, real-world data and AI analytics. Our client has commercially launched many tests for advanced-stage cancer patients, and some for early-stage cancer patients. Our screening portfolio, including the FDA-approved Shield™ test, aims to address the needs of individuals eligible for cancer screening.

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager, Software Engineering to lead our engineering teams at client's place. In this role, you will be responsible for managing multiple software development teams, collaborating with stakeholders across geographies, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, scalable, and cloud-native applications. You will work closely with engineering leadership at our Palo Alto headquarters, requiring a few overlap hours to ensure smooth collaboration.

This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong leader who has grown from a hands-on development background and is passionate about building robust, cloud-native solutions in a fast-paced and mission-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

Experience required 10 - 15 years.

  • Leadership & Team Management: Lead and mentor engineering teams, ensuring high performance, technical excellence, and career growth for team members.
  • Collaboration with Global Teams: Work closely with engineering leadership and cross-functional teams both in India, and at our Palo Alto HQ, ensuring alignment with company goals and engineering best practices.
  • Technical Strategy & Execution: Drive the technical roadmap and architecture for cloud-native applications, ensuring scalability, performance, and security.

Required Qualifications
  • 12+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 3+ years in a leadership role managing multiple teams.
  • Hands-on experience in Full Stack or Backend development with technologies such as React, Java, and RESTful APIs.
  • Strong expertise in building cloud-native applications in a containerized environment (Kubernetes, AWS preferred).
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and a strong test automation mindset.
  • Excellent communication and written skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with global teams, including leadership at Palo Alto HQ.
  • Ability to manage distributed teams and work in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment.
Nice to Have
  • Prior experience in the Life Sciences industry.
  • Experience working with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS), LabVantage preferred.
  • Familiarity with regulated environments such as HIPAA.

    + Architect, design, and develop solutions within a multi-functional Agile team to support key business needs for Commodity Insights
    + Design and implement software components for content systems.
    + Perform analysis and articulate solutions.
    + Design underlying engineering for use in multiple product offerings supporting a large volume of end-users.
    + Manage and improve existing solutions.
    + Solve a variety of complex problems and figure out possible solutions, weighing the costs and benefits.
    + Engineer components and common services based on standard corporate development models, languages, and tools

    **What We're Looking For:**
    **Basic Qualifications:**
    + Bachelor's/master's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
    + 8+ years' experience in application development
    + Strong C# or Java and SQL skills
    + Proficient with software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies like Agile, Test-driven development
    + Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
    + Experience with Big Data platforms such as Apache Spark
    + Expertise in building event-driven, scalable & resilient systems
    + Demonstrates a thorough understanding of information systems, business processes, the key drivers, and measures of success while choosing the proper methodologies and policies to support broad business goals
    + Experience working in Databricks
    + Experience working in cloud computing environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
    + Experience in the Financial services domain is a plus.
    **Preferred Qualifications:**
    + Experience within the carbon registry space
    + Familiarity and/or enthusiasm with Data Science / Machine Learning is a plus.
