- Oversee and manage all aspects of the logistics process, including shipping, receiving, warehousing, and transportation.
- Coordinate with freight carriers and transportation providers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.
- Manage inventory levels, track stock movements, and conduct regular inventory audits to maintain accuracy.
- Develop and implement efficient warehousing strategies and optimize storage space utilization.
- Utilize logistics software and systems to monitor shipments, manage documentation, and generate reports.
- Analyze logistics data to identify opportunities for cost savings and operational improvements.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant transportation regulations, customs requirements, and safety standards.
- Liaise with internal departments (e.g., procurement, sales, production) and external partners to ensure seamless supply chain operations.
- Resolve any logistical issues or delays promptly and effectively.
- Negotiate rates and contracts with carriers and third-party logistics (3PL) providers.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of long-term logistics strategies and process improvements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics coordination and supply chain management.
- Proven experience in managing transportation, warehousing, and inventory operations.
- Strong knowledge of logistics software, TMS (Transportation Management Systems), and WMS (Warehouse Management Systems).
- Excellent understanding of supply chain principles, practices, and regulations.
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting.
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Effective communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy and efficiency.
- Experience with international logistics and customs procedures is a plus.
