Co-Chairman | Healthcare Operations & Strategic Leadership | Hospital Platform
Join as Co-Chairman of a healthcare consolidation platform acquiring cashflow-positive hospitals (20–100 beds) in Tier-2/3 India. Seeking a retired senior healthcare executive with 15+ years leading multi-site hospital operations, clinical governance, and integration.
About the Company
We are building a healthcare consolidation platform to acquire and integrate small to mid-sized hospitals (20–100 beds) in Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities. Our disciplined acquisition model targets hospitals with ₹10–₹0 crore in revenue and 12–18% EBITDA margins.
Over the next 12–18 months, we plan to acquire 6–8 hospitals in Maharashtra, adding 600–800 beds and generating ₹180–₹25 rore in consolidated revenue. Hospitals will be organised into regional clusters with shared clinical protocols, procurement, and administration — improving efficiency and margins.
The market opportunity is significant: ₹1 trillion in hospital assets are expected to change hands in the next 5–7 years, driven by succession gaps, promoter fatigue, and regulatory pressures. Unlike aggregators, we will own and operate each hospital directly to ensure consistent quality, pricing, staffing, and branding.
Our target: ~5,000 operational beds through 70–80 acquisitions in 5–7 years, with EBITDA margin expansion and valuation uplift positioning the platform for an institutional sale or public listing.
Role Summary
Co-lead the board with the Chairman, providing operational governance, clinical oversight, and integration leadership. Standardise protocols, optimise performance, and ensure hospitals meet quality, compliance, and efficiency benchmarks across the platform.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead operational oversight and clinical governance.
• Drive standardisation of protocols, procurement, and staffing.
• Support hospital integration and performance optimisation.
• Co-chair board and operational committees.
• Collaborate with executive management on risk and strategy.
Candidate Requirements (Mandatory)
• Retired senior healthcare executive with 15+ years managing hospitals or healthcare networks.
• Proven operational leadership in multi-site or integrated healthcare settings.
• Strong background in clinical governance, regulatory compliance, and quality frameworks.
• Prior board or advisory role experience preferred.
Compensation
• FREE FOUNDERS’ EQUITY ownership up to 7% , based on involvement and contribution.
• Equity in a cashflow-positive healthcare platform with audited financials and tangible assets — not speculative.
• Performance-based transaction completion bonuses.
• Director fees and honorariums introduced once cashflow positive.
Why Join Us
• Play a key role in building India’s largest mid-market hospital network.
• Solve liquidity, succession, and operational challenges for hospital owners.
• Shape a platform with consistent quality, cost efficiency, and clinical excellence.
• Work alongside leaders with deep expertise in both hospital operations and healthcare M&A.
Location & Commitment:
India-based, with remote flexibility. Candidates in India or NRI hubs (UK, UAE, Singapore) welcome.
Estimated time commitment: 5–10 hours per month for board meetings, strategic reviews, and key approvals (quarterly meetings in Pune).
