Job Title: Service Now ITAM (HAM/SAM) Implementation SpecialistJob Summary:We are seeking a skilled Service Now HAM/SAM Implementation Specialist to manage and optimize our IT asset lifecycle using the Service Now platform. The ideal candidate will have experience implementing and maintaining Service Now Hardware Asset Management and Software Asset Management modules, ensuring compliance, cost optimization, and efficient asset tracking.Key Responsibilities:Hardware Asset Management (HAM):Implement and maintain the Service Now HAM module.Manage asset lifecycle from procurement to disposal, ensuring accurate tracking of hardware assets.Establish workflows for asset requests, approvals, deployments, and returns.Maintain an accurate Configuration Management Database (CMDB) for hardware assets.Develop asset audit processes to ensure data accuracy and compliance.Software Asset Management (SAM):Configure and maintain the Service Now SAM module.Track and manage software licenses, subscriptions, and usage across the organization.Ensure compliance with software licensing agreements and avoid audit risks.Optimize software spending by identifying unused licenses and ensuring efficient allocation.Generate compliance and usage reports for stakeholders and audits.General Responsibilities:Competent in creating and managing ITAM/ITOM dashboards, KPIs, and reporting.Contribute and advocate Process design for Global Asset Management aligned with industry framework and best practices.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and implement asset management process & solutions.Monitor and resolve integration issues with other IT systems.Design and maintain dashboards and reports for hardware and software assets.Provide training and support to end-users on HAM/SAM processes and tools.Stay updated on Service Now features and best practices for HAM and SAM.Qualifications:Education:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).Experience:5-7 years of experience in IT Asset Management.Hands-on experience with Service Now HAM and SAM processes & modulesKnowledge of ITIL processes, especially asset and configuration management.Experience with CMDB configuration and management.Skills and Competencies:Create and manage custom scripts, workflows, and integrations using Java Script and other relevant languages.Implement and configure SAM and HAM modules to meet organizational needs.Integrate Service Now with external systems via REST, SOAP, JDBC, and other technologiesStrong understanding of software licensing models (e.g., perpetual, subscription, Saa S).Proficiency in Service Now administration, including workflow configuration and customizations.Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.Certifications (Preferred):Service Now Certified Implementation Specialist – HAM or SAM.ITIL Foundation Certification.Certified Asset Management Professional (CAMP) or similar.
