PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
We are looking an IMMEDIATE JOINER for Senior IT Administrator role to manage and secure our Windows, macOS, and Linux environments, ensure compliance with ISO 27001, and optimize AWS cloud infrastructure. You will play a key role in IT security, network management, Linux/Windows system administration, employee onboarding/offboarding, and cloud service optimization.
ORGANISATIONAL CONTEXT
CIMET currently provides end-to-end comparison and switching of Energy, Telco, Credit Cards, Personal loans, and residential solar plans through its online platform in a B2B and B2C environment. It presently caters to various Brands/Providers and has several Partners. This portfolio will further expand over the next 18 months across financial services (loans and insurance products). The online comparison market is extremely crowded in Australia, with most comparators providing a light-touch directory solution. CIMET saw this as an opportunity and developed a fully integrated online comparison and signup platform in 2017. Today, CIMET has around 220 resources across Australia, India, and the Philippines, and has grown to a topline of $25 million in FY2025. We have plans to list CIMET by 2030 and grow the company to a $1 bn enterprise.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1. IT Security & ISO 27001 Compliance
• Draft and implement IT policies for ISO 27001 certification.
• Manage endpoint security:
o Windows Defender for Endpoint (MDR)
o CrowdStrike Falcon (EDR/XDR)
o BitLocker/FileVault encryption
• Conduct security audits, risk assessments, and vulnerability scans.
• Implement IAM, SSO, MFA, Zero Trust Security policies.
• Harden Linux/Windows servers against cyber threats.
2. Windows, macOS & Linux System Administration
• Administer Windows Server (2016/2019/2022), Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP,
Hyper-V.
• Manage macOS devices using Apple Business Manager and MDM (Jamf, Intune, or Kandji).
• Linux Administration:
o Patch management & security hardening
o User management, ACLs, Sticky Bit
o LVM (Logical Volume Management) & SWAP management
o NFS & Samba for file sharing
o HAProxy for load balancing
o Bind service (DNS configuration)
3. Cloud & Infrastructure Management
• Administer AWS Cloud Infrastructure:
o EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, Auto Scaling, Route 53
o Linux-based web and application servers
• Manage firewalls & VPN solutions (Fortinet, SonicWall, Palo Alto, Sophos).
• Optimize network performance, storage, and load balancing.
4. Employee Onboarding & Offboarding
• Automate user provisioning/deprovisioning with PowerShell, AWS Lambda, or Bash scripting.
• Manage user accounts, email access, and security permissions.
• Maintain IT asset inventory & system access controls.
5. IT Support & Troubleshooting
• Provide L1/L2 support for Windows, macOS, and Linux issues.
• Troubleshoot network, hardware, and software problems.
• Maintain remote access solutions (VPN, RDP, Citrix)
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
• Certifications (preferred but not mandatory):
o ISO 27001 Lead Implementer / Lead Auditor
o Linux Foundation Certified System Administrator (LFCS) / RHCSA
o AWS Certified SysOps Administrator
o Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate / M365 Administrator
o Jamf Certified Tech / Apple Certified Support Professional
o CrowdStrike Falcon Administrator Certification
o Cisco CCNA / Fortinet NSE / Palo Alto PCNSA
• Strong expertise in Windows, macOS, Linux, Office 365, AWS, and security tools.
