Our client, a pioneering biotechnology firm specializing in innovative biologic therapies, is seeking a skilled Biologics Formulation Scientist to join their state-of-the-art development center in Jaipur, Rajasthan, IN . This role is crucial for the formulation development of complex protein-based therapeutics, ensuring their stability, efficacy, and manufacturability. The scientist will be responsible for designing, developing, and characterizing liquid and lyophilized formulations for monoclonal antibodies, recombinant proteins, and other biologics. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of next-generation therapies in a collaborative and technologically advanced environment in Jaipur .

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop stable liquid and lyophilized formulations for therapeutic proteins and antibodies.
  • Perform pre-formulation studies, including biophysical characterization (e.g., spectroscopy, chromatography, DLS) to assess protein behavior.
  • Optimize formulations to enhance protein stability, prevent aggregation, and ensure desired shelf-life.
  • Investigate the impact of excipients and process parameters on protein stability and activity.
  • Develop and perform analytical methods for characterizing formulated biologics, including purity, potency, and degradation product analysis.
  • Support process development and scale-up activities for formulation manufacturing.
  • Collaborate with analytical development, process development, and regulatory teams.
  • Prepare detailed formulation development reports and contribute to regulatory filings.
  • Troubleshoot formulation-related issues and implement effective solutions.
Requirements
  • Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Biophysics, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in the formulation development of biologics (proteins, antibodies, vaccines).
  • Strong understanding of protein chemistry, stability, degradation pathways, and aggregation mechanisms.
  • Proficiency with biophysical and biochemical analytical techniques relevant to biologics characterization.
  • Experience with formulation excipients and their role in stabilizing therapeutic proteins.
  • Familiarity with GMP principles and regulatory requirements for biologics development.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and strong scientific curiosity.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills for technical reporting and teamwork.
  • Experience with lyophilization cycle development is highly desirable.
