Job Summary: We are looking for a qualified and experienced Veterinary Consultant to support the claims verification/assessment for losses reported under Cattle Livestock Insurance . The role involves conducting field investigations, verifying cause of death or illness, and ensuring accurate and timely documentation to support insurance claim settlements.
Eligibilty:
- Degree in Veterinary Science (B.V.Sc. & A.H.) from a recognized institution.
- Valid registration with the Veterinary Council of India or State Veterinary Council.
- Minimum 0-5 years of field experience in livestock health and insurance-related work.
- Strong knowledge of cattle diseases, treatment protocols, and rural veterinary practices.
- Proficiency in report writing, documentation, and use of mobile apps or digital tools.
- Ability to travel extensively to rural and semi-urban areas.
Responsibilities/JD:
- Conduct Desktop/on-site verification of insured cattle in case of illness, injury, or death.
- Perform technical post-mortem examinations and issue veterinary reports for claim validation.
- Certify the cause of death or disability in accordance with insurance policy terms.
- Collaborate with insurance surveyors and field officers during claim investigations.
- Ensure timely submission of veterinary reports, photographs, and supporting documents.
- Maintain detailed records of inspections and findings for audit and compliance.
- Educate livestock owners on disease prevention, vaccination, and animal care.
- Support digital claim platforms by uploading reports and updating claim status.
