Position Overview
The Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for maintaining Optimum's server and end-user infrastructure and work on initiatives to enhance the performance, reliability, and security of assets on the Amazon cloud.
The position is based in Noida, India and will collaborate with infrastructure and Infosec team members based out of Optimum's other locations (Ahmedabad, India and Los Angeles, USA).
Key Responsibilities
- AWS Infrastructure Management : Provision, configure, and monitor cloud infrastructure on AWS, ensuring high availability, performance, and security.
- Server Administration : Manage and maintain Windows and Linux servers, including patching, backup, and troubleshooting.
- Resource Optimization : Continuously review cloud resource utilization to optimize performance and reduce costs.
- Monitoring & Incident Response : Set up and manage monitoring tools, respond to alerts, and troubleshoot infrastructure issues.
- Security & Compliance : Ensure compliance with security policies, manage SSL certificates, and support access control mechanisms.
- Collaboration & Automation : Work with DevOps and Security teams to implement automation, infrastructure-as-code (IaC), and best practices.
- Office 365 Administration : Oversee O365 services, user management, and security Qualifications & Experience :
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field, with 35 years of experience managing cloud infrastructure.
- Cloud operations certification is a plus.
