- Lead and execute complex research projects from conception through to completion, adhering to scientific rigor and project timelines.
- Design and conduct experiments, analyze data, and interpret results to advance scientific understanding and product development.
- Develop and optimize new experimental protocols and methodologies in relevant areas of biotechnology.
- Stay abreast of the latest scientific literature, emerging technologies, and industry trends.
- Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams, including molecular biologists, chemists, and computational scientists.
- Prepare scientific reports, presentations, and publications for internal review and external dissemination.
- Manage laboratory resources, equipment, and consumables efficiently.
- Mentor and guide junior research scientists and laboratory technicians.
- Contribute to grant writing and funding proposals.
- Ensure all laboratory activities comply with safety regulations and ethical guidelines.
- Evaluate and implement new technologies and tools to enhance research capabilities.
- Present research findings at scientific conferences and symposia.
Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Genetics, or a closely related life science discipline.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of post-doctoral or industry research experience in a relevant area of biotechnology.
- Proven track record of successfully leading research projects and achieving significant scientific outcomes.
- Extensive hands-on experience with (mention specific techniques, e.g., CRISPR, NGS, flow cytometry, cell culture, protein purification).
- Strong theoretical knowledge and practical skills in experimental design, data analysis, and interpretation.
- Experience with bioinformatics tools and data analysis software (e.g., R, Python, GraphPad Prism).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong ability to present complex scientific information clearly.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced research environment.
- Experience in supervising or mentoring junior scientists is highly valued.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a creative approach to scientific challenges.
- Publication record in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
