1. Site Supervision & Execution
- Supervise day-to-day construction activities
- Ensure work is done as per drawings, specifications, and standards
- Monitor contractor/labour performance and ensure work quality
- Coordinate execution sequences to avoid delays
2. Quality Control
- Check materials, workmanship, and site practices
- Conduct or supervise field tests (e.g., cube testing, slump, compaction)
- Maintain records of inspection and quality reports
3. Setting Out & Layout
- Interpret structural and architectural drawings
- Mark layout for foundations, columns, walls, etc.
- Verify levels, alignment, and dimensions before concreting
4. Material & Resource Management
- Track material usage and stock on-site
- Raise material requests in advance
- Prevent wastage and ensure optimal use of resources
5. Coordination
- Coordinate with contractors, consultants, suppliers, and clients
- Report progress to project manager/engineer-in-charge
- Handle on-site queries and resolve minor issues promptly
6. Safety Compliance
- Ensure safety protocols and PPE use
- Maintain site safety records and conduct toolbox talks
- Report and document any accidents or unsafe conditions
7. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain daily site diary/logbook
- Record work progress, delays, manpower, and equipment usage
- Support in preparation of bills and measurement sheets
8. Progress Monitoring
- Compare actual progress with schedule (bar chart, CPM)
- Suggest corrective actions for delays or deviations
- Assist in preparing progress reports for review
