Role Overview

The Head of Operations – oversee end-to-end branch operational activities for all branch banking products, ensuring efficient process execution, regulatory compliance, and exceptional customer service. This role requires strategic oversight, operational excellence, and strong leadership to drive productivity, cost efficiency, and risk control across the retail business.

Key Responsibilities

1. Operations Management

• Lead and manage all operational processes for retail liability products (CASA, term deposits, recurring deposits, NRI accounts, etc.).
• Ensure smooth account opening, servicing, and closure processes with minimal errors.
• Optimize branch and back-office operations for speed, accuracy, and cost efficiency.

2. Process Improvement & Automation

• Identify process gaps and implement lean, automated, and scalable solutions.
• Collaborate with technology teams for digitalization of operations (e.g., paperless onboarding, workflow automation).

3. Compliance & Risk Management

• Ensure adherence to RBI guidelines, KYC/AML norms, and internal compliance standards.
• Monitor operational risk metrics, implement controls, and lead remediation for audit observations.

4. Service Quality & Customer Experience

• Set TAT (Turn-Around Time) benchmarks for all operational activities.
• Drive customer satisfaction through timely resolution of operational issues.

5. Team Leadership

Lead, mentor, and develop large operational teams across central and regional hubs.

Role Overview

The Chief Risk Officer (CRO) will be responsible for establishing and overseeing the Bank’s enterprise-wide risk management framework. This includes identifying, assessing, monitoring, and mitigating risks across credit, market, liquidity, operational, compliance, information security, and AML domains.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the overall risk management function across the Bank, ensuring effective implementation of risk frameworks.
• Oversee credit risk, market risk, Information security risk, liquidity & interest rate risk, operational risk, and compliance risk management.
• Ensure effective implementation of Basel guidelines and Internal Capital Adequacy Assessment Process.
• Supervise internal financial controls, information security risk assessments, and cybersecurity preparedness.
• Facilitate Board and Committee discussions on Risk Profile of the organization, level and direction of aggregate and major risk streams, risk appetite, capital adequacy, and emerging risks.
• Provide leadership in operational risk, business continuity planning, and anti-money laundering (AML/CFT) compliance.

• Graduate / Post Graduate in any discipline from a recognized institution.
• Minimum 25 years experience in banking with at least 10 years progressive experience in risk management
• Strong leadership and strategic decision-making skills.
• Proven track record of working with regulatory authorities, auditors, and Board-level committees.

Desirable Professional Qualifications :

Certification in FRM /Professional Risk

The National Head oversees all facets of the Gold Loan business nationally, focusing on Profit & Loss (P&L) management and strategic market expansion .

1. Strategy and Business Growth

• P&L Ownership: Full responsibility for the Gold Loan portfolio's national P&L , including revenue targets, cost management, and profitability.
• Strategic Planning: Design and execute a national strategy for the Gold Loan vertical to achieve aggressive Assets Under Management (AUM) and market share growth.
• Product Management: Oversee the development, design, and pricing of new Gold Loan products and schemes to remain competitive and meet diverse customer needs (e.g., Agri Gold Loans, Business Gold Loans).
• Market Expansion: Identify new geographies and market segments for expansion. Develop and execute a roadmap for branch roll-out and optimization of existing branch networks for Gold Loan services.

2. Operations and Risk Management

• Operational Excellence: Standardize and streamline Gold Loan operational processes across all branches for efficiency, speed, and customer experience. This includes application processing, gold valuation, storage, and release.
• Risk and Audit Compliance: Implement robust risk management frameworks to mitigate operational risks, including fraud, valuation discrepancies, and loss/damage of collateral. Ensure strict adherence to Reserve Bank of India (RBI) guidelines and internal bank policies.
• Collateral Security: Oversee the integrity and security of the gold storage process, including vault management, periodic audits, and insurance arrangements.
• Asset Quality: Maintain and improve the portfolio quality by actively monitoring Non-Performing Assets (NPAs) and devising effective collection and recovery strategies , including the auction process.

3. Sales and Marketing

• Sales Strategy: Develop high-impact national sales and marketing strategies to drive customer acquisition and cross-selling, leveraging the bank's existing customer base.
• Digital Integration: Champion the adoption of digital and technological initiatives to enhance the customer journey (e.g., online application, e-KYC, digital payment options).
