Assistant Manager - Airport Services

Summary

You will be responsible to assist with the efficient running of the department in line with Hyatt International's Corporate Strategies and brand standards, whilst meeting employee, guest and owner expectations. The Assistant Manager - Airport Services is responsible to assist the Front Office / Assistant Front Office Manager in managing the guest service department as a successful independent profit center, ensuring maximum guest satisfaction, through planning, organizing, directing and controlling the Concierge operation and administration.

Qualifications

Ideally with a relevant degree or diploma in Hospitality or Tourism management. Minimum 2 years work experience as Assistant Manager - Concierge or Airport services experience. Should be a holder of the 'Clefs d'Or'. Good problem solving, organisational and interpersonal skills are a must.

• Manage and coordinate all ground handling activities for arriving and departing flights.
• Ensure the efficient and safe turnaround of aircraft.
• Supervise baggage handling, cargo loading, and unloading operations.
• Coordinate with flight crews, cabin crew, and ground support teams.
• Provide excellent customer service to passengers, addressing their needs and concerns.
• Monitor and maintain the availability and functionality of ground support equipment.
• Ensure strict adherence to all airport safety regulations and company procedures.
• Handle flight schedule changes and operational disruptions effectively.
• Maintain clear and concise communication with all relevant parties.
• Conduct regular safety checks and inspections of the ramp area.
• Assist in managing passenger flow and check-in processes.
• Report any incidents or operational issues promptly.
• Ensure compliance with aviation security protocols.
• Manage catering and fueling arrangements for aircraft.
• Contribute to improving operational efficiency and service quality.

• High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree is a plus.
• Previous experience in aviation ground operations, airport management, or customer service is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of airport operations and safety procedures.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Customer-centric approach with a commitment to service excellence.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and manage diverse groups of people.
• Good physical stamina and ability to work in varied weather conditions.
• Proficiency in relevant airport operational software is an advantage.
