Role Overview
Our customer is seeking a Paralegal to join a growing team for a 3- 6-month contract. The role will start ASAP and will be based in India (100% remote working).
This role requires working hours aligned with the US Pacific Standard Time (PST) shift schedule.
The paralegal is responsible for managing legal case documentation, coordinating with internal departments, and ensuring compliance with relevant legal procedures and deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist external legal counsel with litigation-related tasks, including discovery, document review, and case preparation.
- Manage and organise legal documents, including pleadings, motions, subpoenas, and evidence.
- Coordinate with internal departments to gather necessary information and documentation.
- Maintain case files and litigation databases, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Support in drafting legal correspondence and summaries.
- Conduct legal research and compile findings for review.
- Assist in preparing witnesses and exhibits for depositions and trials.
- Track legal expenses and assist in budgeting and invoice review.
Required Experience & Qualifications
- 2–4 years of experience in litigation support or paralegal work, preferably in a corporate or law firm setting.
- Experience with document management systems (e.g., Relativity, iManage) will be an added advantage.
- Familiarity with both U.S. and global legal systems is preferred.
- Exceptional communication and proofreading abilities.
- Attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information.
