The AI Accelerator, driving our current initiative, identifies and develops impactful AI tools to transform Google Cloud Consulting (GCC) operations.


We seek a highly technical and collaborative Project Manager to support the Accelerator Manager in overseeing AI Accelerator initiatives, starting with the Virtual Project Coordinator (VPC) solution.

This role bridges technical teams and end-users, ensuring the VPC solution meets GCC's needs and delivers tangible value.


Please see below the scope of work the TPM will perform:

Technical Project Management:

a. Manage the overall project plan and timeline for the VPC initiative, ensuring alignment with GCC's goals and priorities

b. Coordinate with GCC teams and stakeholders, including product managers, engineers, and end-users, to ensure clear communication and collaboration

c. Manage sprint plans for development in collaboration with GCC technical teams, helping to accelerate development by ensuring approvals and decisions are made in a speedy manner

Requirements Gathering and Solution Design:

a. Elicit and document detailed requirements for the VPC solution, working closely with CPMs and other stakeholders to understand their needs and pain points

Testing and User Feedback:

Adoption and Continuous Improvement:

- Create and update schedule in MS Project and/or P6 based on the scheduling tool used on the project.
- Support PCM/PD in bids and proposals on budget preparation, schedule preparation or any other task assigned.

**Responsibilities**
**Project Cost Control**
+ Ensure alignment with client expectations and deadlines by coordinating with billing, finance, and project teams to manage accounts receivable, timesheets, expenses, and invoice-related queries.
+ Prepare billing drafts, compile and verify monthly invoices, and ensure accurate manual data entry and mapping to final invoice sheets.
+ Manage project setup, budgeting, task assignments, and closeout activities in **Oracle Horizon** , including maintaining WBS structures, processing time transfers, and performing compliance checks.
+ Support financial analysis and reporting by using financial systems to track project performance metrics, generate monthly accruals, and assess the impacts of scope changes and forecast deviations.
+ Collaborate with design teams to collect engineering progress data for **Earned Value (EV) analysis** and maintain accurate tracking of planned value, actual cost, and schedule performance.
+ Act as a liaison between GCC India and US teams for project setup, billing, and timesheet coding, while supporting the P&B PMO team in portfolio monitoring.
+ Conduct data integrity checks, audits, and maintain project documentation, including lessons-learned databases and meeting records.
+ Apply extensive ERP knowledge for project creation, maintenance, and change management.
+ Create and track change orders, identify and quantify risks, and support mitigation efforts as a trusted partner to the Project Manager.
**Project Scheduling**
+ Create, update, and maintain resource and cost-loaded project schedules using **Microsoft Project (MSP)** or **Primavera P6** , based on stakeholder input, proposals, and scope documents.
+ Develop activity lists, identify critical paths, and notify teams of key activities and schedule risks.
+ Monitor project progress, detect deviations, and support recovery planning and schedule forecasting.
+ Assess and report on the impacts of changes to baseline schedules and milestones, ensuring timely updates and resolution tracking.
+ Support bids and proposals by preparing preliminary schedules and timelines.
+ Use **Earned Value Management (EVM)** and financial systems to analyze and report on project performance and KPIs.
+ Maintain accurate Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and integrate project schedules under an **Enterprise Project Structure (EPS)** .
**Key Competencies / Skills:**
+ Proficient in MS Office Suite, especially **Advanced Excel** ; experience with **Oracle ERP (Horizon/NetSuite)** and **Power BI** is an advantage.

**Responsibilities**
**Project Cost Control**
+ Ensure alignment with client expectations and deadlines by coordinating with billing, finance, and project teams to manage accounts receivable, timesheets, expenses, and invoice-related queries.
+ Prepare billing drafts, compile and verify monthly invoices, and ensure accurate manual data entry and mapping to final invoice sheets.

+ Monitor project progress, detect deviations, and support recovery planning and schedule forecasting.
+ Assess and report on the impacts of changes to baseline schedules and milestones, ensuring timely updates and resolution tracking.

Job description
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
+ Manages and leads project management staff on the project and ensures that staff is assigned respective roles and responsibilities per their expertise and experience. Ensures that the staff is fully aware of the project execution plan and comply to the implementation of project requirements, policies, and procedures. Formally supervises individual employees and/or subordinate supervisors.
+ Leads the team from front and act as single point of contact to client. He would be responsible for mentoring the team; providing them direction to ensure a seamless delivery from initiation till closeout.
+ Supports directly or engages team member during project procurement process
+ Liaise with Consultants/ Clients/ Contractor on all project matters.
+ Review of Civil/MEP Services Design proposals from Consultants & Contractors.
+ Review tender documents and actively involve in value engineering exercise.
+ Independently handle (Cost Certification, Quality Management, Schedule & Budget Management, Closeout Management).
+ Responsible for identifying tracking performance, coaching, training needs, and motivating team members. Directly or indirectly responsible for hiring, terminating, compensation, and performance evaluation of staff.
+ Directs all phases of project management including procurement/contracting, initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, controlling and closeout phases of the project. Key focus areas include scope, budget, schedule, quality and risk management.
+ Exhibits a complete understanding of company's corporate governance policies and procedures. Responsible for ensuring corporate governance policies and procedures are adhered to within work group.
+ Responsible for accurate, timely, and compliant contract procurement, contract negotiation, contract execution, contract administration, and closeout.
+ Contracts included company's agreements, client/vendor agreements, and company /vendor and supplier agreements. Monitors adherence to policies and procedures regarding internal governance and controls.
+ Demonstrates ability to identify complex project risks, lead constructability reviews, develop risk mitigation and contingency plans, and implement action plans to reduce or eliminate project risks for client and company.
+ Oversees the preparation of accurate, timely, and complete reports to the client and company.
+ Conducts and maintains relationships with industry and trade associates, vendors, and professional organizations.
+ Other duties as assigned.
+ Must have experience Commercial buildings / corporate office/ Institutional building / Mixed use developmentand should have delivered minimum 2 projects end to end.
+ Must have knowledge of MS Projects
REQUIREMENTS
+ Degree in Civil
+ MBA in Project / Construction Management (full time) is preferred.
+ 16 + years of prior experience.
+ Corporate client experience is a must.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
He / She provides formal supervision to individual employees within single functional or operational area. Effectively recommends same for direct reports to next level management for review and approval. Plans and monitors appropriate staffing levels and utilization of labor, including overtime. Prepares and delivers performance appraisal for staff. Mentors and coaches team members to further develop competencies. Leads by example and models behaviors that are consistent with the company's values. Manages 3rd party project delivery resources/team (typically larger more experienced team). Responsible for identifying training needs, tracking performance, coaching, and motivating team members.
