Role Overview: We are seeking a proactive and dedicated Research Assistant to join our team for a structured, 2-month full-time engagement. Reporting directly to the leadership team, you will play a foundational role in our strategic growth by identifying and analyzing grants and funding opportunities. Your research will directly enable our efforts to secure the resources needed to protect children in the digital age. Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive research to identify potential funding sources, including government grants, private foundations, and corporate social responsibility (CSR) programs focused on digital safety, child welfare, and technology for good.
• Analyze grant eligibility requirements, funding priorities, application timelines, and historical funding patterns to assess alignment with our mission.
• Develop and maintain a structured database of prospective funders, key contacts, and application deadlines.
• Prepare concise summaries and reports on high-potential funding opportunities for the leadership team.
• Assist in gathering preliminary data and documentation required for grant proposals during standard working hours.
• Monitor trends and new developments in the philanthropic landscape related to our core area of work.

Qualifications and Skills Required:

• A Master's degree (or currently pursuing one) in Public Policy, Social Work, International Development, Law, Business, or a related field is highly preferred.
• Exceptional research, analytical, and information synthesis skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Highly organized with a keen eye for detail and the ability to manage tasks independently within a structured workday.
• Proficiency in using online databases, advanced search engine queries, and standard office software (e.g., Google Workspace, Microsoft Office).

Market & Competitor Analysis:

Client & Sector Insights:

Policy & Product Benchmarking:

Compare insurance and reinsurance policies across providers to identify best-in-class offerings and gaps in coverage.

Support to Underwriting & Sales Teams:

Technology Trends Tracking:

Stay updated on tech applications in insurance such as AI-based risk modelling, telematics, drone-based risk surveys, and digital claim processing platforms.

Documentation & Reporting:

• Bachelor’s degree in Insurance, Risk Management, Economics, Statistics, Business, or related field. A post-graduate qualification is a plus.

• At least 1 year of professional experience in the insurance/reinsurance industry (brokerage, underwriting, claims, analytics, etc.).

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Familiarity with IRDAI guidelines and global market practices is preferred.

The role will involve assisting in curriculum development for a Public Policy course, conducting literature reviews, compiling data, and preparing reports on technology-enabled development and public health interventions, particularly in low- and middle-income country contexts.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive literature reviews and desk research on public policy, ICT4D, and global health topics.
• Assist in developing reading lists, case studies, and teaching materials for a Public Policy course.
• Collect, organize, and analyze data from academic publications, reports, and online sources.
• Summarize research findings into clear, concise briefs, presentations, and annotated bibliographies.
• Track emerging trends, policies, and innovations in technology for development and digital health ecosystems.
