**About the Role:**
Solutions Engineers at Confluent drive not only the early-stage evaluation within the sales process, but also play a crucial role in enabling ongoing value-realization for customers, all while helping them move up the adoption maturity curve. In this role you'll partner with Account Executives to be the key technical advisor in service of the customer. You'll be instrumental in surfacing the customers' stated or implicit Business Needs, and coming up with Technical Designs to best meet these needs. You may find yourself at times facilitating art of the possible discussions and storytelling to inspire customers in adopting new patterns with confidence, and at other times driving creative solutioning to help get past difficult technical roadblocks. Overall, we look upon Solutions Engineers to be a key cog within the Customer Success Team that help foster an environment of sustained success for the customer and incremental adoption of Confluent's Technology.
**What You Will Do:**
+ Help advance new & innovative data streaming use-cases from conception to go-live
+ Execute on and lead technical proof of concepts
+ Conduct discovery & whiteboard Sessions to develop new use-cases
+ Provide thought Leadership by delivering technical talks and workshops
+ Guide customers with hands-on help and best practice to drive operational maturity of their Confluent deployment

**What You Will Bring:**

**Your Impact**
**This role involves end-to-end architecture, design, and recommendation of solutions for Large BFSI customer Accounts using Cisco technologies. The Indian BFSI industry is highly regulated and hence the role demands a fair understanding of the common business challenges as well as the guidelines and regulations framed by the regulators.**

**Minimum Qualifications**

1.5% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 50% and 75%;
1% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 75% and 100%; and once performance exceeds 100% attainment, incentive rates are at or above 1% for each 1% of attainment with no cap on incentive compensation.
For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid.

**Your role and responsibilities**
The Sr Solutions Engineering team serves as the primary technical resource and internal advocate for all Customers at HashiCorp. Through consultative engagement, we identify our Customers' challenges and business requirements, leveraging our product expertise to propose solutions that meet their needs. As trusted technical advisors, we work closely with our Customers to help them achieve their target outcomes and realize the full value of the HashiCorp solutions they've implemented.
Responsibilities:
As a Sr Solutions Engineer at HashiCorp, you will partner closely with one or more Sales Executives and support the entire Customer journey. This includes pipeline creation, achieving technical wins, onboarding, driving consumption, and ensuring successful renewals. Your expertise and guidance will be crucial in helping Customers unlock the full potential of our solutions and achieve their desired business outcomes. In this role you will be expected to:
· Serve as Trusted Advisor: You will act as a trusted advisor to aligned accounts, technical teams, and business stakeholders throughout the customer lifecycle.
· Exhibit Strong Communication Skills: You will influence decisions through effective presentations, demos, technical engagements, and workshops, showcasing your strong communication skills.
· Understand the Customer's Journey: You will guide customers through a value realization journey aligned to their strategic priorities, designing technical and business-focused solutions that drive adoption and growth.
· Prove Business Value: You will demonstrate the business value of HashiCorp solutions in solving the customer's business problems and driving their target outcomes.
· Contribute to Customer Success: You will regularly participate in activities such as customer QBRs, cadence calls, customer office hours, and advanced roadmap sessions.
· Drive Expansion and Adoption: You will seek to drive expansion within current product lines and promote the adoption of multi-product integrated solutions.
· Partner with Cross-Functional Teams: You will collaborate with teams such as Solutions Architecture, Customer Success, Professional Services, Product Management, and Engineering to ensure success throughout the customer journey.

**Required technical and professional expertise**
· Experience: 7+ years in a Technical Pre-Sales or Sales Engineering role, or equivalent experience - practitioners are appreciated as well.
· Technical Expertise: Proficiency in understanding concepts and technologies in Infrastructure, security lifecycle management, DevOps, cloud, microservices, containers, and scheduling platforms.
· Customer Engagement: Proven experience with sales & implementing software products or solutions in large and dynamic enterprise companies.
· Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
· Problem-Solving Skills: Demonstrated ability to analyze complex technical problems and develop innovative solutions.
· Collaboration: Experience working well in a highly dynamic team environment that focuses on providing above industry standard customer service. Proven ability to work cross-functionally with teams such as Product Management, Engineering, and Customer Success.
· Travel: Ability to travel as needed, with domestic and occasional international travel required.
**Preferred technical and professional experience**
· Knowledge of HashiCorp Tools: Knowledge of, and experience with, any of the tools in the HashiCorp Vault/Terraform.
· Technical Certifications: Relevant technical certifications (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, DevOps) are a plus.
