**The Role**
We are looking for a highly experienced and strategic **Senior Oracle Database Administrator (DBA)** to lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of mission-critical Oracle database systems. Within our Database Administration team at Kyndryl, you'll be a master of managing and administering the backbone of our technological infrastructure. + Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
+ 6+ years of hands-on experience as an Oracle DBA in enterprise environments.
+ Expertise in Oracle 12c/19c/21c, RAC, ASM, Data Guard, and OEM.
+ Strong skills in SQL, PL/SQL, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
+ Proficiency in Unix/Linux environments and shell scripting.
+ Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) or other cloud platforms.
+ Familiarity with ITIL processes and enterprise change management.
**Preferred Technical and Professional Experience**
+ Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) or Oracle Certified Master (OCM).

+ Knowledge of other RDBMS platforms (e.g., PostgreSQL, SQL Server) is a plus.

- Implement tuning solutions to improve database performance, such as rewriting inefficient queries, creating new indexes, and adjusting database parameters. Perform other database maintenance tasks, such as defragmenting indexes and shrinking databases.
- Monitor database usage and audit database activity to identify suspicious activity.
- Develop and implement database security standards and procedures, covering areas such as password management, data encryption, and access control.
- Work with developers to fix database design or code issues that are causing problems.

Technologies
- 2-6 years of experience with Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Development, or related field.
