**A Day in the Life**
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Data Analyst to support our Application Portfolio Management (APM) efforts. In this role, you will work closely with IT, business, and enterprise architecture teams to analyze data related to our software applications, ensuring alignment with business goals, reducing technical debt, and improving cost efficiency.
**Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.**
+ Collect, clean, and analyze application data across business units.
+ Develop dashboards and reports to support APM activities (e.g., rationalization, consolidation, lifecycle analysis).

+ Support the application scoring process (e.g., based on cost, technical fit, business value, risk).
+ Document data definitions, data sources, and analysis methodologies.

+ Drive and implement improvements to help automate and simplify activities.
+ Identify and support ways to rationalize and manage application lifecycle.

**Required Knowledge and Experience:**
+ 3+ years of IT experience with a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, MCA, or MSc.
+ Proficient in Excel, SQL, and BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
+ Analytical and problem-solving skills.

**The Team:** S&P Global' s Research Operations Calling team does primary and secondary research on newly established firms and gather information of existing firms in the asset management industry, is responsible for answering client data inquiries, and works on other high value client projects. The team oversees the collection, mapping and maintenance of client, vendor and proprietary company, contact, fund, ownership, and relationship data. Team is also responsible for collecting and maintaining data which provides insight into who is holding, and investing in publicly traded securities, across the world. The data is collected from various regulatory filings, vendors, notifications or press releases and transform the raw information into usable intelligence that can give the clients a competitive edge. + High quality data extraction, collation, and analysis for a wide range of investment plans and profiles including institutional investors, investment managers and perform client research requests.
+ Actively investigating asset management firms not currently included in buy-side database.
+ Directly communicating with investment professionals through outreach mechanisms, including calls and emails, to gather information about their investment processes.
+ Identifying sources and creating processes for collecting and tracking new information as needed.
+ Resolve internal and external client queries within timeliness.
+ Ideate/innovate and provide solutions for new collection methods and product/process enhancements.
+ Analyzing regulatory filings, prospectuses, industry publications and other sources for information pertaining to asset management firm holdings and investment information. · Design, develops, and maintains various user-friendly dashboards

· 5+ years of experience supporting Software Engineering, Data Engineering, or Data Analytics projects.
· 5+ years of experience leading a team supporting data related projects to develop end-to-end technical solutions.
· Undergraduate or Graduate degree preferred
