**Your role and responsibilities**
* Lead efforts to modernize legacy applications built on Natural/ADABAS utilizing ModernSystems tooling and practices.
* Analyze existing Natural/ADABAS codebases to identify opportunities for refactoring, replatforming, or integration with modern technologies.
* Collaborate with enterprise architects and modernization teams to migrate legacy data and business logic to modern environments such as Java, .NET, or cloud-native platforms using tool-based approaches.
* Participate in mainframe-to-cloud migration strategies, including data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) from ADABAS to relational databases.
* Support hybrid environments by understanding legacy systems while contributing to agile development practices in modernization projects.
* Document modernization processes, technical decisions, and transformation roadmaps to ensure knowledge transfer and long-term maintainability.
**Required technical and professional expertise**
* Natural Programming Language: Proficiency in developing and maintaining applications using Natural on mainframe or UNIX platforms.
* ADABAS Database: Strong understanding of ADABAS data structures, querying, and performance optimization.
**Preferred technical and professional experience**
* JCL (Job Control Language): Experience with batch processing and job scheduling in mainframe environments is a plus.
* Mainframe Tools: Knowledge of tools like TSO/ISPF, FTP, are a plus.

Role Overview
Otis is growing and is looking for a maintenance mechanic for one of our entities located in Mangalore Your priority is to ensure the safety of passengers and technical stakeholders by safely maintaining a portfolio of elevator and escalator units.
On a typical day you will:
Carry out 100% of the elevator maintenance and service visits of the units within your territory
Work within your defined geographical area / territory, managing the portfolio of elevators within it
Respond proactively and quickly to fix any breakdowns, aiming to achieve first time fix
Carry out minor repairs to achieve continual operation
Liaise directly with the customer while on site to build a good working relationship
What you will need to be successful (adjust for local regulations)
Required BE Electrical Engineering with 3years of Experience or Diploma Electrical with 6Years of Experience in the Elevator Industry, that are required for maintenance mechanics.
Holding a Two-Wheeler driving license is a must.
You have at least 6 to 8 years of experience in the elevator sector.
You have good skills in electricity and electrical engineering
You are a committed professional, with safety as your priority
You are comfortable communicating to others
You are curious, adaptable, and you know how to work alone or in a team
You are comfortable using electronic and digital tools.
