**Job Description**
**Responsibilities:**
+ Lead and coordinate the domain technical and business discussions relative to future architecture direction across the product portfolio or product line.
+ Analyze, design, and develop a roadmap and implementation plan based upon a current vs. future state in a cohesive architecture viewpoint.
+ Review and/or analyze and develop architectural requirements at domain level within product portfolio or team.
+ Support L4+ troubleshooting and escalations in the event of problems or incidents.

**Required Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or "STEM" Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) with minimum 15+ years of experience in the similar position.
**Technical Expertise**
+ Proven experience in architecting, designing, and operating large enterprise Data Protection solutions, including disaster recovery and business continuity planning strategies.
+ Expert knowledge of Data Protection architecture and technologies, including an in-depth knowledge of Veritas NetBackup, Veeam, Cohesity, Dell Data Domain, Azure, AWS, and other enterprise Data Protection and storage technologies.
+ Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
+ Experience in utilizing storage performance, monitoring, and management tools to help optimize storage utilization, operations, and metrics.
+ Experience with TCP/IP network design, protocols, security, and topology.
+ Ability to analyze, design, and develop a software solution roadmap and implementation plan based upon a current vs. future state of the business.
+ Experience with Active Directory, Wintel OS, Linux/UNIX OS, VMware, VxRail, and hyperconverged infrastructure.
+ Competent in ITSM and ITIL, OS, network, and virtual infrastructure operations, datacenter/facilities operations, and supply chain logistics.

We are looking for an independent and driven Data Privacy Specialist (3–4 years’ experience) to join our Legal team. You will lead privacy compliance efforts, contribute to the design and ongoing management of our Privacy Information Management System (PIMS), oversee vendor compliance, and actively participate in privacy initiatives encompassing both conventional data processing and AI-powered technologies.  

  Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and maintain the Privacy Information Management System (PIMS) framework across all business entities.  
  • Perform Privacy Impact Assessments (PIA), Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIA), AI-specific IAs, and data mapping for IT systems, business processes, AI/ML models, and new initiatives.

  • Conduct Ethical AI assessments covering bias mitigation, transparency, fairness, and accountability in AI systems.  
  • Drive vendor due diligence assessments, focusing on third-party data handling, AI model use, and compliance with data protection requirements.   
  • Ensure comprehensive, up-to-date record-keeping for all privacy and data protection activities to support audits and regulatory requests.  
  • Conduct broader privacy risk assessments, including those for operational processes, third parties, cookies, and marketing campaigns as appropriate.

  • Deliver Privacy and Ethical AI training and awareness programs; regularly assess training effectiveness and adapt content as needed.

  What We’re Looking For:

  • 3–4 years’ professional experience focused on data privacy, with demonstrable experience in PIA/DPIA execution, privacy control implementation, vendor due diligence, and contract review.  
  • Experience in conducting AI-specific privacy assessments and applying ethical AI frameworks.  
  • Proven ability to work closely with cross-functional teams (Engineering, AI/ML, IT, HR, Marketing, Security, Compliance) to integrate privacy and ethical AI requirements across the data lifecycle.

  • Research, monitor and summarize changes in privacy laws and regulations and understand their potential implications to the digital health solutions of ResMed and its customers

  • Prepare resources to support privacy compliance including FAQs and other informational materials; conduct privacy-related training and addressing questions on privacy compliance

  • Relevant privacy experience, including at a law firm, consultancy and/or in-house preferably at a multinational company in the medical device industry and/or technology and SaaS sector

  • Bachelor’s degree, law or business studies preferred

  • English language proficiency

  • Knowledge and experience in global privacy laws and data protection frameworks

  • Customer service focused with excellent analytical and problem resolution skills. Solution-oriented with the ability to think ahead and give practical advice by balancing business needs with legal risks

  • One or more certifications from recognized institutions; for example, IAPP’s CIPP certification or equivalent (with an emphasis on CIPM) is preferred

  • Familiar with Privacy management and automation tools (e.g. OneTrust) is a plus

  • Experience working in diverse teams, cultural awareness and willingness to adjust work hours to time zone requirements from time to time

    The Legal team is responsible for managing the legal affairs of the company, including providing legal counsel across the organization, handling disputes, and creating and enforcing intellectual property.

    Let’s talk about the team:

    Working with the Head of Privacy Governance, the Privacy Specialist will serve as a key member of the Privacy Governance team and support ResMed’s mission to improve the quality of life of our patients, customers, and partners. Working from the local ResMed office (and/or remote hybrid working arrangement), you will be primarily supporting ResMed’s compliance with global privacy requirements, especially as they relate to ResMed’s public-facing obligations: data subject requests, privacy incident management, and privacy notices.

    Who are we looking for?

    You have experience working as part of a global privacy team at a multinational company. You are able to organize and streamline a complex set of privacy requirements across business lines and jurisdictions. You have good stamina and thrive in fast-paced, innovative, diverse work environments. You have experience in project management and/or coordinating and driving cross-functional projects in high-pressure situations.

    Let’s Talk About the role:

  • Point of contact for global data subject requests, including coordinating and streamlining divergent processes for multiple business lines across the Americas, EMEA, and APAC regions

  • Handle initial intake from multiple channels and assist with responses to inquiries from regulators, customers and patients, team members, customer support, and other partners

  • Assist with global privacy governance projects, including privacy laws from California, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Virginia, and other state privacy laws; federal privacy laws and regulations, including HIPAA,

  • Track and support privacy's data incident response activities and collaborate with various stakeholders, including the cybersecurity response team
