The Senior UX Engineer is responsible for working closely with the Global team of designers as well as Product Management and Engineering teams to produce world-class Software experiences for a broad range of Life Sciences devices and Digital applications. This position reports to the Nagaraj Konduru and is part of the Digital Products Development team l ocated in Bangalore and will be an on-site role.
What you will do:
+ Maintain strong bias towards insightful design that serve users with a keen eye on simplicity and elegance in solutions, while considering technical, financial or scheduling limitations efficiently.
+ Lead user research initiatives to understand unsaid and unmet needs, visualize experience journey through wireframes and adapt enterprise design language to build a cohesive digital experience pathway for our users.
+ Perform UX audits of existing solutions and strategize the next generation of experience for the product portfolio. Participate in periodic design sprints & design reviews, evaluate design against the project and design goals, and help identify & mitigate any gaps and risks
+ Lead and perform creation of design deliverables including user personas, scenarios, journey maps/workflows, UX requirements, information architecture, concept sketches, wireframes, visual designs, mock-ups & prototypes, usability testing and support design transfer activities in sync with release plans
+ Understand the enterprise design system as well as the universal design principles and apply them consistently across the products, form factors, and static/dynamic/responsive designs criteria. Implement design methodologies throughout the project as per requirement and build body of work to support design decisions.
+ Work collaboratively with engineering and development teams for translating the design concept into successful implementation and efficiently negotiate any tradeoffs involved. Manage relationships with external agencies to maintain an eco-system of trusted partners to support user research, UX/UI design, mock-up & prototyping and front-end development efforts.
Who you are:
+ Master's degree in Interaction Design or equivalent
+ A minimum of 10 years of professional experience
+ Experience in facilitating design thinking sessions with outstanding active listening, storytelling, and presentation skills. Risk taker, experimenter, and able to operate outside his/her comfort zone
+ Proficiency in UX design, wireframing and visual design tools (Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, InVision, Adobe creative suite, etc.)
+ Proven track record in creativity and problem-solving evident from work samples/portfolio
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
