Job Goal
To ensure smooth running of plant machinery & equipment’s and smooth functioning of Maintenance Department for meeting planned production targets with desired quality within time.
KNOWLEDGE
- Should be well-versed in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Computers, and Automation.
- Should have knowledge of standardizing, evaluating, and controlling machine spares.
- Should be familiar with work and quality systems such as ISO, TS-16949, 5S, and TPM.
- Should have knowledge of the internet and computers.
- Should have exposure to ERP systems like SAP and Oracle.
- Should have knowledge of legal compliance (Factory Act) and environmental norms.
- Should be able to train and guide the maintenance crew in troubleshooting, modifying circuits and mechanisms, procuring and maintaining spares, analyzing breakdowns, and implementing corrective and preventive actions, as well as system implementation.
- Should be able to contribute to and work independently in the strategic planning of various maintenance functions.
FUNCTIONAL COMPETENCIES/ SKILLS
- Should have excellent troubleshooting & analyzing skills.
- Should be able to Formulate, plan & execute comprehensive preventive, predictive & shutdown maintenance programs of machines.
- Should be proficient in designing & reconditioning machine control panels.
- Should be competent in Material Procurement ,Vendor development & negotiation.
- Should be able to train & guide maintenance crew.
EXPERIENCE
Should have hands on experience of around 15 to 20 years in maintenance department while working with manufacturing industries on below types of machines
- PLC based Special purpose machines
- Utilities like D.G. Sets, Air compressors, Cooling towers, Transformers, HT/LT switchgears
- Hydraulic & Mechanical presses.
- Material handling equipment’s & conveyors
- Ovens & furnaces.

To lead the mechanical maintenance function of an automotive sheet metal manufacturing facility, ensuring maximum machine uptime, reliability, and cost efficiency across fabrication, welding, paint shop, utilities, and assembly lines.
Key Responsibilities
Maintenance Planning & Execution
- Develop & implement preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance schedules for all production and utility equipment.
- Ensure smooth functioning of:
- Fabrication Machines – Press machines (mechanical/hydraulic), CNC shearing, bending, rolling machines, plasma/laser cutting.

The individual will support the Maintenance Department and will administrate the complete management of engineering, electrical, and civil maintenance activities for the facility .
This role will support and execute preventive maintenance planning, repair estimation, vendor performance monitoring, and safety inspections .
This incumbent will partner and support the Operations Department , particularly in resolving technical issues related to equipment breakdowns, improving maintenance practices, and ensuring smooth facility operations .
