Job Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer to join our team. Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for AI conversational systems, ensuring all functional and nonfunctional requirements are met.

• Conduct end-to-end testing of speech recognition (STT), natural language understanding (NLU), and response generation (NLG) within the AI platform.

• Perform manual and automated testing of conversational flows, including edge cases, error handling, and multi-turn dialogues.

• Validate the system’s ability to understand and process various user intents, entities, and languages. Test integrations between different components of the AI system, including third-party APIs, speech interfaces, and backend data systems.

• Ensure the quality and accuracy of voice output (TTS) and conduct thorough testing of speech quality across different platforms and devices.

• Identify and document bugs, performance issues, and user experience problems, and work closely with developers and AI engineers to resolve them.

• Monitor system performance and behavior under different conditions, including large-scale interactions and stress testing.

• Conduct regression testing after each update to ensure previous features remain functional and efficient.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (AI/ML engineers, product managers, and UI/UX designers) to define quality benchmarks and maintain continuous improvement in testing processes.

Skills and Qualifications:

• 5-8 years experience and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

• Proven experience as a QA Engineer, preferably with exposure to AI/ML-based systems or conversational AI platforms. Familiarity with natural language processing (NLP), machine learning models, and speech technologies such as STT, TTS, and dialogue systems.

• Test Automation: Proficiency in Selenium, Appium, Cypress, Playwright, or Robot Framework for UI automation; PyTest, JUnit, TestNG for API testing.

• API Testing: Hands-on experience with Postman, RestAssured, or SoapUI to test AI APIs, ensuring smooth integration.

• Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on quality and attention to detail. • Experience in agile software development methodologies.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with conversational AI platforms

**Role Summary/Purpose**
Software Quality Assurance Engineer/Technologist, working on Train Performance LOCOTROL® Technologies. The role will be responsible for design test cases, writing test plans/ scripts, executing the test plan, and preparing test reports for the Distributed Power (LOCOTROL) product line. This includes working closely with Product Owners, System engineers and Software engineers and devising appropriate test strategies which includes setting up the lab equipment and finding ways to automate the testing.

We are looking for seasoned QA engineers who will be developing and maintaining testing infrastructure for automation & manual test coverage, and building a process for continuous quality development. In this role, you will work closely with Cloud Services and User Interface teams to gain a deeper understanding of different persona-based use-cases and drive the design of test scenarios and test plans and implement automated and manual test execution of the test cases?
This role reports to the Senior Manager of engineering, User Platform team.
**Key Responsibilities**
+ Responsible for the QA and Testing tasks for various facets of Cloud Engineering including (but not limited to) UI/UX components and backend core services
+ Develop and maintain testing infrastructure for automation & manual test coverage, and building a process for continuous quality development
+ Design test scenarios and test plans and implement automated and manual test execution of the test cases.
+ Create and improve test frameworks to enable fully automated testing and reporting.
+ Maintain testing infrastructure running within Jenkins and on Kubernetes
+ Interact with engineering team and partners to ensure product functionality is validated, works as expected, and meet QA acceptance criteria for GA and monthly releases.
+ Identify and propose areas of improvement to enhance testability and code quality throughout the software development life cycle
**Required Skills & Experience**
+ 3+ years professional experience in automated and manual QA testing
+ Proficient in writing Automated Test Suites using frameworks like Jasmine, Protractor, Mocha, Cypress, Jest, or Selenium
+ Experience in UI and API testing
+ Deep understanding of web standards & technologies (ex. HTTP, REST and JSON).

+ Contribute to the design and architecture of software solutions, ensuring they are amenable to test.
