Our client, a leading pharmaceutical company, is seeking an experienced Senior Pharmaceutical Quality Assurance Manager to oversee quality operations in Mumbai, Maharashtra, IN . This critical role ensures that all pharmaceutical products meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficacy, adhering strictly to regulatory requirements and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of pharmaceutical quality systems, regulatory affairs, and a proven ability to lead and optimize QA functions. This position demands meticulous attention to detail, strong leadership, and a commitment to maintaining compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, and maintain the company's Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with global regulatory standards (e.g., FDA, EMA, WHO).
  • Oversee and manage all Quality Assurance activities, including batch record review, deviation investigations, CAPA management, and change control.
  • Conduct internal audits and participate in external audits (regulatory inspections, customer audits) to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Lead and mentor the QA team, providing guidance, training, and performance management.
  • Manage product release processes, ensuring all products meet predefined quality specifications before market release.
  • Collaborate with R&D, Manufacturing, and Regulatory Affairs to ensure seamless integration of quality principles throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Develop and deliver quality training programs for relevant personnel.
  • Monitor quality metrics and trends, reporting on performance and recommending corrective actions.
  • Stay abreast of evolving regulatory requirements and industry best practices in pharmaceutical quality assurance.
  • Manage and resolve quality-related issues and complaints effectively and efficiently.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry, Microbiology, or a related life science discipline.
  • A minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in Pharmaceutical Quality Assurance/Quality Control.
  • In-depth knowledge of GMP, ICH guidelines, and other relevant pharmaceutical regulatory frameworks.
  • Proven experience in implementing and managing QMS, conducting audits, and leading investigations.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to build and motivate high-performing teams.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Proficiency in pharmaceutical quality software and systems.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality and compliance.
  • Experience with sterile product manufacturing and validation is a significant advantage.
