Role Overview
A CPA at Uvation will be responsible for ensuring financial integrity, compliance, and transparency. You'll play a key role in reporting, audits, tax, and financial strategy, partnering with cross-functional teams to support business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements and reports in compliance with US GAAP, IFRS, or other relevant standards.
Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, ensuring accurate reconciliations.
Lead & coordinate audits (internal & external); liaise with auditors to ensure seamless reporting.
Manage tax filings and compliance with relevant tax laws (US / local / state as applicable).
Monitor and forecast cash flows, budgets, and financial performance.
Identify financial risks, propose cost optimization strategies, and contribute to financial policy/controls.
Maintain and improve internal controls and financial processes to ensure efficiency and compliance.
Work closely with FP&A, operations, legal, and leadership to support strategic decision-making.
Manage multi-currency, multi-entity transactions if applicable.
Mentor, guide or review work of junior accounting staff.
Qualifications
Valid CPA certification.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; Master's degree preferred.
Minimum of 15+ years of relevant accounting experience, with at least 12 years in a supervisory or senior role.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP, IFRS), financial reporting, tax law, and regulatory compliance.
Technical Skills
Hands-on experience with ERP/accounting systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) and advanced MS Excel.
Familiarity with tools for financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting, audit software, etc.
Comfortable handling multi-currency and international financial transactions (if applicable).
Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex financial data and KPIs.
Soft Skills & Attributes
High level of integrity and ethics: handling confidential and sensitive financial information with care.
Attention to detail and precision.
Strong communication skills—capable of explaining financial information to non-finance stakeholders.
