**ROLE SUMMARY:**
We are looking for an experienced Oracle DBA to be a part of the company's Infrastructure team.
This team is responsible for managing databases on both cloud (AWS & GCP) and on-premises.
We support and maintain several database technologies like Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server & MySQL, but Oracle being a dominant estate. So, multi database experience is required along with atleast one cloud experience preferably AWS.
We are looking for an experienced hands-on Oracle DBA that can work across the Operations and Engineering side. We are embarking on several migrations into the cloud, so experience with oracle database migrations would be must.
**KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:**
+ Database Operational Support - Work in shift model (24*7) and providing on-call support during weekends and holidays.
+ Support application release activities.
+ Handling day-to-day issues like user access, performance tuning, backup and recovery, standby management, migrations etc
+ Handling incidents
+ Design & build optimized cost-effective fault-tolerant database solutions.
+ Handle homogenous and heterogenous database migration using golden gate, datapump, DMS, pgdump/pg_restore, logical replication, dataguard (Oracle and PostgreSQL).
+ Develop automated solution for manual procedures.
+ Manage databases in cloud environments such as AWS RDS (code the infrastructure with Terraform)
**REQUIREMENTS:**
+ 8+ years of experience with Oracle database as a DBA
+ 2+ years of experience in PostgreSQL.
+ 2+ years of experience in managing Oracle RDS & EC2
+ Experience in Oracle database migration and management in AWS (RDS, EC2).
+ Experience with migration technology like golden gate etc
+ Extensive experience with Oracle 19c, Oracle Dataguard, RMAN, any cloning software (NetApp, Delphix), RAC, Performance Tuning.
+ Understanding of some storage technology like EBS, Netapp from database perspective.
+ Experience in cloning and refreshing Oracle and PostgreSQL database.

Job Title: Support Lead - Oracle Database (10 to 12 yrs exp.)
The Database Administrator (DBA) will be responsible for the performance, integrity, and security of the project's database.
This role includes planning, development, and troubleshooting.
The DBA will work closely with project managers, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure database systems are optimized and efficient.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the Incident Management, Problem Management, Service Request, Change Management.
• Database Design and Implementation: Design and implement new database systems according to project requirements.
• Performance Monitoring: Monitor and optimize database performance to ensure quick query response times and efficient operations.
• Security: Ensure database security by implementing access controls, encryption, and regular audits.
• Backup and Recovery: Develop and maintain a strategy for database backup and recovery to protect data integrity in case of failure.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve database issues promptly to minimize downtime.
• Collaboration: Work with project team members to understand and fulfill database requirements.
• Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of database configurations, policies, and procedures.
• Experience in Camstar/Opcenter MES project will be added advantage.
• Development of SSRS reports.
• Managing periodic governance and reporting.
• Team Management, Customer management, knowledge management.
• SLA and KPI management, ensuring uptime and application availability.
• Closely coordinate and work with product team to ensure seamless operations, upgrades, implementations etc.
Required Qualifications
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Experience: Proven 9+ years of experience as a DBA in similar projects with a solid understanding of database management systems (DBMS).
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in database languages such as SQL, and familiarity with DBMS like Oracle, MySQL.
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
• Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to issues.
• Communication: Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
• Certification: DBA certifications from recognized institutions (e.g., Oracle Certified DBA, Microsoft SQL Server Certification).
• Advanced Skills: Knowledge in advanced database management tasks such as replication, clustering, and partitioning.
