The Supply Chain Services group part of Product Support & Logistics Division currently has a job opening for a ‘DART EDI Coordinator – Inventory Analyst’ position located in Bangalore, India facility.

Data Accuracy & Records Tracking (DART) Team Overview:

The Data Accuracy & Records Tracking (DART) being part of SCS group is responsible for seamless execution of critical processes for Caterpillar manufacturing facilities in the areas of New Product Introduction (NPI), Material Requirement Planning (MRP), Electronic Data Interface (EDI), Shipping label and Analytics solutions. Supply Chain Services DART team delivers value by initiating and participating in business-critical projects and solutions.

JOB PURPOSE:

This position is responsible to improve inbound receiving efficiency for facilities that include Caterpillar manufacturing, logistics centers, and cross-dock facilities located globally through on time support on the daily ASN (Advance Shipment Notice) requests from facilities, manage Misdirected ASNs and coordinate with suppliers to ensure EDI ASN & SP20 shipping label to meet enterprise standards.

  • Advanced supplier coordination skills to improve supplier & facility ASN & SP20 (Shipping Label) performance

    PRIMARY FUNCTION

    As part of the F&B Inventory Management team your daily deliverables you will be expected to:

    Integrated Demand Planning : partner with Demand Planners to create/elevate a capability that ensures accurate forecasting and inventory health for your business. Strong understanding of financial and Supply chain metrics to enable regular check-ins and consensus on tops down and bottoms up forecasting

    Promo Management: Partner with Planners and PPCoE to manage inventory through accurate promo forecasting and rectifying all relevant components to achieve department instock goals. Set promo levers in Replenishment systems, advise risk to AD OOS and communicate store level risk/overstock.

    Out Strategy Management:  Perform End Of Season analysis, monitor and take actions to reduce lumpy inventory through markdowns, decoding, pushing and salvage.

    Allocation:  Maintain instock goals through effective product distribution. Analyze sales history and trend to maximize sales potential by developing allocation strategies that maintain proper store inventory levels.

    Historical Analysis:  Analyze and summarize business performance of product categories, monitor sales, inventory, margin and other factors impacting Instocks & profitability.

    Managing Operation:  End to end ownership of categories. Ownership of business and operational metric for the team, weekly recaps and work allocation in the team. You will be also tasked with driving the business review meeting in close collaboration with your leader.

    Execute Strategies : Execute strategies to drive supply chain initiates to support alternative forms of fulfilment

    Leader Backup:  As a senior team member you are expected to be the operational leader for the team in the absence of leader.

    Collaborate with regional and mill finance teams for quarterly financial planning. * Continuous Improvement: Continuously improve supply planning processes to enhance accuracy, reliability, and flexibility.
    Ensure that the planning functions understand and meet the needs of internal customers within the supply chain and business functions.

    To closely monitor the inventory values and provide inventory analysis for all products to improve the working capital metrics (DOH) through effective co-ordination with cross functional team

    • Responsible for analyzing and managing the plant Inventory level, Optimizing Inventory to meet the committed ENCORE Inventory and DOH by every month with support of Procurement, Planning and Sales ops and update the Inventory performance to APAC
    • Analyze Inventory data: Collect, analyze and interpret inventory data to identify trends, patterns and areas for Improvement
    • Optimize Inventory levels: Develop and Implement Inventory optimization strategies to minimize stockouts, overstocking and obsolescence
    • Drive and reduce the slow-moving Inventory with action plan
    • Drive and reduce the E&O liquidation with proper analysis
    • Manage Inventory Metrics: Track and report on key inventory metrics, such as DOH, Inventory encore vs actual, MTO ageing, E&O
    • Develop and maintain reports to track inventory performance and provide insights to stakeholders
    • Review of Buy analysis with support of reporting, Procurement and planning
    • Monitoring the inventory movement and provides regular analysis for inventory reduction and corrective actions
    • Preparing Inventory report on weekly basis and conducting review meeting for action plan with inventory stakeholders
    • Monitoring quality non-conformance inventory for its liquidation liaising with Quality and other cross functional team
    • Periodic master data review on Safety stock, lead time, MOQ, MTO /MTS etc. and maintaining in SAP ERP liaison with SCM & operations team
    • Analyzing the E&O inventory and exploring for action plan for liquidation complying with company policy
    • Following up for timely execution of exception actions like pull in, push out and cancel on supplier/customer orders and thereby balancing the supply & Demand
    • Daily Monitoring and controlling excess receipt against plan
    • Monitor and review the forecast Vs consumption through effective co-ordination with demand planner and order booking team
    • Effectively participating in SIOP facilitating with data on inventory impact due to forecast variance
    • Monthly analysis of DOH report –hits and misses analysis
    • Monitoring service inventory and supporting inventory actions

    Qualifications

    • Any Engineering/ Finance Degree with inventory controller/ inventory analysts experience
    • 8+years' experience in Inventory and SCM function

    Skills

    • Good knowledge in SAP ERP system
    • Power BI Dashboard
    • Good Knowledge in MS tools and Macro
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • High degree of professional presence and customer interface skills
