CrewSELECT require a Material Handler for an ongoing position for our client based in Canning Vale.
The client is a leading supplier of quality windows, doors, shower screens, mirrors, wardrobes and splash backs to new homes across the Perth Metro region.
YOU MUST HAVE FULL UNRESTRICTED WORKING RIGHTS.
Job Overview:
- Ability to manually handle and move glass safely throughout the factory.
- Ability to manually handle and store large quantities of aluminium extrusions.
- Self-motivated and ability to learn quickly.
- Team player; ability to work well within a team environment.
- Genuine work ethic with a ‘can-do’ attitude.
- Good written and excellent oral communication.
- Ability to adhere to WHS policies and procedures.
What’s in it for you:
- Ongoing role with the possibility of permanency for the right candidate.
- $35.00 per hour plus penalties. (Casual Rate)
- $8- 30 per hour plus penalties. (Full-time Rate)
- 40 to 50 hours per week.
- Standard hours:
- Monday – Thursday 6.30am – 3.00pm.
- Friday 6.30am – 12.30pm.
- Regular overtime offered.
About you:
- Proven experience in a Warehouse or Factory role lifting and moving heavy and fragile materials throughout a factory environment.
- Any experience in doors or windows is highly advantageous.
Tickets and licenses required:
- Reliable transport to and from the workplace.
- Current C Class Drivers Licence.
- Forklift License preferred.
- Ability to pass a drug and alcohol test.
- Police Clearance within 12 months

JOB DETAILS
1) Ensure a safe work environment by keeping safety a top priority
2) Load and unload incoming and outgoing materials and products
3) Operate manual and/or mechanical equipment in a safe and effective manner and maintain proper certifications
4) Ensure production and quality standards are met
5) Be open to performing other duties as assigned
6)Lift, carry, push, pull, reach, grasp, bend and stack cartons for up to 10 hours at a time
7) Stand for long periods of time and walk continuously
8) Pull merchandise from multiple levels of shelving or move merchandise as needed
9) Climb stairs and perform work at platform heights up to 60 feet
10) Lift and carry up to 50lbs. Specific weight requirements may vary within each department
