Position Summary
Your primary responsibilities include creating very high-quality mixes that would meet the client specifications within agreed deadlines. This role requires a highly motivated individual with a passion for sound. You should possess expertise in audio localization, dubbing, quality control and mixing for theatrical and home entertainment in 5.1, 7.1 and Dolby Atmos format.
Outcomes and Accomplishments
As a Lead Audio Mixer, you will:
- Work on mixes to meet client’s audio quality expectations.
- Have good judgmental skills in identifying various audio anomalies and try to fix in-house or report them back to the project team.
- Communicate with schedulers and account coordinators to provide updates on project status and ensure on-time delivery.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives and brainstorming sessions as needed.
- Be willing to guide and mentor junior team members in driving quality improvements.
- Be involved in process audits to uphold audio workflow integrity.
- Have the ability to troubleshoot and maintain the audio equipment, ensuring good functionality without any malfunctions and downtime.
- Work in a team contributing to the team goals.
- Work on audio QCs, conforms, and other workflows as the need arises.
- Be open to working in all shifts and work weeks.
What You Bring:
- You have an advanced knowledge of Avid Pro Tools software & hardware, including Avid control surfaces.
- Have prior experience or exposure in working on Dolby Atmos workflows.
- You have a good understanding in mixing content related to Broadcast, OTT and Theatrical standards as per client specifications. You have the ability to work with audio equipment like pre-amps, microphones, and audio interfaces.
- You must have a very strong technical understanding of digital audio, sample rates, bit depth, and synchronization concepts like SMPTE time code, and video sync, and be familiar with various video codecs.
- You have prior experience in dubbing workflows including dialogue editing and cleanup tools.
- You have actively worked with dubbing directors, writers, and voice artists.
- You have the ability to understand client requirements and deliver accordingly.
- You have the ability to manage projects in order to get the best output in a time-bound manner.
- You are aware of the latest technology trends, tools and processes as per the evolving market needs and adapt accordingly.
- You have good communication skills and excellent command of Microsoft Windows systems, Mac OS, Microsoft Office Suite, and Google workspace.
