  • Analyse demand and develop consensus based demand forecast at lowest SKU level on a monthly basis.
  • Forecast to be developed considering trending/statistical techniques, inputs from sales and marketing teams on Demand influencing factors like PROMO and Event activity and alignment with long term financial plans

Our client, a leading player in the logistics and supply chain sector, is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Supply Chain Analyst with expertise in inventory management to join their operations team in **Gurugram, Haryana, IN**. This role is crucial for optimizing inventory levels, improving forecasting accuracy, and enhancing the overall efficiency of the supply chain. The Supply Chain Analyst will be responsible for analyzing inventory data, identifying trends, and developing strategies to minimize stockouts, reduce carrying costs, and improve order fulfillment rates. You will work closely with procurement, warehousing, and sales teams to ensure alignment and effective execution of inventory management policies. Key responsibilities include developing demand forecasts, managing safety stock levels, optimizing reorder points, and conducting ABC analysis. You will utilize advanced analytical tools and techniques to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), identify areas for improvement, and implement best practices. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of supply chain principles, inventory management techniques, and data analysis methodologies. Proficiency in supply chain software, ERP systems, and data visualization tools is essential. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are required to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and present findings to management. A proactive approach to identifying and resolving supply chain challenges is a must. Key responsibilities include:
  • Analyzing historical data to forecast demand for various products.
  • Developing and implementing inventory management strategies to optimize stock levels.
  • Monitoring inventory turnover, carrying costs, and stockout rates.
  • Setting optimal reorder points and safety stock levels for different SKUs.
  • Conducting ABC analysis and implementing appropriate inventory control policies.
  • Collaborating with procurement teams to ensure timely replenishment of stock.
  • Working with warehousing teams to ensure efficient storage and handling of inventory.
  • Identifying and resolving discrepancies in inventory records.
  • Developing and maintaining inventory-related reports and dashboards.
  • Evaluating and recommending improvements to inventory management processes and systems.
A Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Statistics, or a related field is required. A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in supply chain analysis, with a strong focus on inventory management and demand forecasting, is essential. Proven experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and inventory management software is mandatory. Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel (advanced), SQL, and BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is highly desirable. Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills are critical. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required for effective collaboration.
