The Akanksha Foundation is a non-profit organization with a mission to provide children from low-income communities with a high-quality education, enabling them to maximize their potential and transform their lives. Akanksha works primarily in the field of education, addressing formal education by Initiating school reform through its School Project.
The Akanksha School Project represents our first effort to work with the formal school system in Mumbai and Pune. It is an effort by Akanksha to extend its activities in the field of education, leveraging our experiences from nearly twenty years of work with children from low-income communities to improve the quality of learning in public schools. Specifically, Akanksha hopesto provide inputs in the fields of teaching, extra-curricular activities and community engagement that will significantly enhance the learning opportunities for children in these schools, demonstrating what is possible for children from low-income communities to achieve given the right opportunities. Currently, Akanksha runs 21 schools in partnership with the government in Mumbai and Pune, and aims to start more schools in the next academic year.
Position Summary: The School Administrator is responsible for effective data management, documentation, BMC coordination, School Infrastructure, School Resource Management, etc. to enable smooth functioning of school and day to day operations.
**Major Responsibilities include**:
Reports, Data and MIS Management at School Level:
- To collect general student information, Admission data, Daily and Monthly attendance records.
- Manage logistics and documentation related to student admission process and (including post
- admission)
- To capture Drop outs updates (or) grade promotion on MIS for allstudents.ister (d) Saral (online) (e) App entry (f) Student related records (g) U-DISE(h) Shaala Siddhi (i) General register (J) Track, maintain Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) Funds and audit reports
- To capture Drop outs updates (or) grade promotion on MIS for allstudents.
- To upload assessment data if available for all students. To maintainScholarship Form and Data from BMC on a yearly basis
- Receive 27 items from Government office and maintain details andreconciliation of the items (including verification of challans)
- To coordinate with the Social Worker to get the medical information of allstudents.
- To capture the attendance of the parent class meeting attendance and upload it tothe MIS.
- Receive, Distribute and maintain Educational material/assets andrelevant record
- keeping - writing BonaFides, Leaving certificates etc.
- Periodically monitoring the BMC attendance register and ensuring that the teachers are marking their attendance daily.
- Manage Akanksha and other assessments, upload the scores in the MIS &Saral and also provide the data to central team as required

**Government Compliance & Relations**:
- Coordinate the filling and submission of Masik Patra.
- Periodically check the bills of Mid day meal by signing off and prepare reportsto submit to Ward office and Hindu colony.Maintain Mid-Day Meal (MDM) challans/records and MDM daily stock entry online/Upload on MDM app
- Record the tasting of Mid Day meal by staff daily and parents weekly and submit itto the AO office.
- Supervision of helpers by taking khichdi’s for lab testing.
- Coordinate with the Social Worker to prepare and maintain registers on student and teachers which acts as a leading data to prepare GR reports.
- Identify and maintain relations with committees and other mediums in the building.
- Attend BMC meetings in the absence of Social Worker if the agenda permits.
**School and Infrastructure Management**:
- Technology support and coordination with Head Office.
- Courier service between schools and H.O, BMC and schools.
- School cleanliness management, biill management and budget maintenance
- Coordinate for field trips and manage the logistics and operations of the trips.
- Accounting, Billing & Invoicing and Expense management based on approved quotations and budgets (including maintenance of daily/weekly/monthlyexpense statement of purchases)
- Take care of School Infrastructure and Resource Management (including repairs & maintenance, frequent audits, correspondence with government office, inventory & purchase management, vendor management)
**Knowledge/Skills**:
