We are looking for an experienced Legal Officer who is responsible for providing high-quality legal advice to the management and other departments of the company. You will report to the Compliance Officer .
Duties and Responsibilities includes:
1. Draft, Review and provide legal advice on MOU, Agreements, Contracts, Internal Policies and ensure that they are in compliance with all statutory requirements.
2. Drafting and vetting of legal notices, responding properly to various legal notices received by the company.
3. Review ongoing cases, advice management, briefing outside counsels and law firms accordingly
4. To ensure that legal risks of the company have been identified, appropriate course of action has been taken with respect to contracts, tender documents etc.,
5. Review tender documents, provide legal advice, check documents etc.,
6. Attending to compliance and regulatory matters with various government departments as required
7. Advise the management on various legal, regulatory, compliance issues and to take appropriate course of action with respect to Labour laws, Environmental laws, Commercial laws, Intellectual Property Rights and other laws applicable to the company
8. Preparing and checking documents for submission to various government departments and getting approval of appropriate managers within the company
9. Following up with various government departments to get necessary information, forms, process, notifications, GO etc. as needed
10. Get approvals, permits, sanctions from various departments
11. Regular statutory filings with various departments
12. Accompanying various people from company to facilitate work at various departments
13. Must have good people and management skills
14. Must work well with people across different teams in the company, of various skills and age groups.
15. Flexible attitude to work on different legal matters as assigned by the company.
Qualification: LLB
Language: Must be fluent in reading/writing/speaking in English, Hindi and local languages.
Travel: Must be willing and able to travel as required for this position.
Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience as a lawyer or Legal-officer in organisations (Company firm) for the position of Legal Officer
