About the Role

Our client, a prominent energy solutions provider, is seeking a highly specialized Turbomachinery Engineer to bolster their technical team in Bhubaneswar, Odisha . This role is central to the design, analysis, and performance optimization of rotating equipment such as turbines, compressors, and pumps. You will engage in critical projects involving new equipment specification, troubleshooting operational issues, and ensuring the reliability and efficiency of turbomachinery systems. The ideal candidate will possess a strong theoretical background in fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, and mechanical design, coupled with practical experience in the energy or process industries. This position requires a hands-on approach and full-time dedication at our Bhubaneswar facility, working closely with operational and maintenance teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform detailed design, analysis, and optimization of turbomachinery components and systems.
  • Conduct performance testing, condition monitoring, and failure analysis of rotating equipment.
  • Develop technical specifications for new turbomachinery procurements.
  • Provide engineering support for the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of turbomachinery.
  • Utilize advanced simulation tools (CFD, FEA) for performance prediction and stress analysis.
  • Investigate and resolve operational problems and equipment failures.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing and field service teams to ensure product quality and reliability.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry best practices and technological advancements in turbomachinery.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering with specialization in Turbomachinery or related fields.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in the design, analysis, or application of turbomachinery.
  • Proficiency in turbomachinery software and tools (e.g., TurboSystem, ANSYS CFX/Fluent, COMSOL).
  • Strong understanding of fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, rotordynamics, and material science.
  • Experience in the oil & gas, power generation, or process industries is highly desirable.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and diagnostic skills.
  • Strong technical writing and communication abilities.
