Our client, a premier provider of sports and leisure facilities, is seeking an experienced and energetic Sports Facilities Manager to oversee the operations and event coordination at their state-of-the-art complex in Kochi, Kerala, IN . This role is responsible for the daily management of sports venues, ensuring they are maintained to the highest standards, and for the successful planning and execution of a wide range of sporting events, tournaments, and recreational activities. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for sports, exceptional organizational skills, and a proven ability to manage diverse operational needs.
Key responsibilities include managing all aspects of facility operations, including maintenance, cleanliness, and safety protocols for indoor and outdoor sports arenas, training grounds, and associated amenities. You will be the primary point of contact for event organizers, coordinating all logistical requirements, from venue setup and scheduling to managing vendor relationships and ensuring seamless event delivery. This includes liaising with sports leagues, community groups, and corporate clients to maximize facility utilization and revenue generation. You will also oversee a team of facility staff, providing training, guidance, and performance management. Budget management, including cost control and revenue forecasting, is an integral part of the role. Ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations and implementing risk management strategies are paramount. The ability to troubleshoot and resolve operational issues promptly is essential.
We are looking for a candidate with a Bachelor's degree in Sports Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related field, coupled with a minimum of 4-5 years of experience in facilities management or event management within the sports or leisure industry. Strong knowledge of various sports and their specific facility requirements is highly desirable. Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills are essential. Proven experience in event planning and execution, including budget management and vendor coordination, is required. The candidate must be adaptable, able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as dictated by event schedules.
