+ Follow in full the document control and QA processes relevant to project work, ensuring drawings, specifications, reports and correspondence are issued, and filed / archived in an appropriate manner
+ Assist others in compiling design specification within given deadlines including checking compliance with the project brief through calculation and cross reference of manufacturers literature; ensuring all relevant standards and guides are used as reference with the design specification
+ Organise and carry out detailed design to WSP in India and B Regulations standard ensuring CDM, QA and technical review and sign off by project leader, including complex calculations and co-ordination issues
+ Organise and undertake technical calculations to industry standards in conjunction with team members; supervise the work of team members to ensure the delegated work is completed to deadlines / standard and report to the project leader any issues, risks or client changes
+ Prepare elemental work for project budget costing as delegated by the senior team member, within agreed deadlines and standards
+ Deal with the day to day queries from the WSP team, ensuring that relevant information is available on time for construction activity
+ Contribute to and question technical and construction issues and encourage and help the trainees to better understand the design process
+ Determine appropriate software for Computer Aided Design, construct models and undertake analysis and manual checks

+ To help/support the CAD manager in preparing feasibility study reports to meet brief requirements in the agreed format.
+ Identify the queries and pass on to the senior engineer/CAD manager who will in return send these through RFIs for clarification to the clients.
+ To study and understand the scope of works fully.
+ Ensure that every item of the design brief has been considered in the assessment of scope.
During the progress of the project
+ Support the drafting/detailing process by producing volume of work and encourage the team to be very efficient.
+ To quickly flag up the issues affecting the progress and quality.
+ To ensure that the design brief and design documents are followed 100%.
+ To ensure the quality procedures are always followed and adhered to.
+ To support the CAD manager to deal with the day to day queries from clients/site, ensuring that relevant information is available on time for construction activity.

+ To communicate with the clients efficiently and effectively if needed in the absence of CAD manager.

Responsibilities
Core Functions
+ Assist project establishment by agreeing and contributing towards a project inception review, project planning documents, drawing strategy, scales and size of drawings along with drawing numbering to company standards and suggesting methods of drawing production to ensure efficient methods of working are being practiced.
+ Comply with BIM Execution Plans
+ Agree, deliverables, resource requirements, deadlines, and priorities for drawing production with project team prior to commencing.
+ Discuss and agree setting out coordinates, grid lines, floor levels and building details with other members of the team.
+ Develop general arrangement, section and detail drawings from Engineer's sketches and other Design Team members drawings and details, and develop these into co-ordinated building models, drawings and details.
+ Produce the model to a high standard eliminating errors and clashes
+ Input to the co-ordination of Architectural and MEP models on projects
+ Produce work to specified WSP CAD standards
+ Use the available templates, menus and supporting documentation for CAD work and available library items to assist design work
+ Perform self check on models all drawings to a high standard
+ Plan to ensure all drawings reviews are completed in a timely manner prior to issuing.
+ Follow QA procedures, document control, archiving and CDM guidelines on all work
+ Work with project team members on specified aspects of the project
+ Provide advice and coaching to colleagues on intermediate CAD functions when requested

WSP is currently seeking a part- to full-time Proposal Coordinator to join our Transportation & Infrastructure Business Line. Reporting to the Proposal Team.
This position will be responsible for managing the preparation and delivery of responses for Expression of Interest (EOIs), Request for Qualifications (RFQs) and Request for Proposals (RFPs) for the Infrastructure Unit. As a successful hire, you will be tasked with ensuring that proposals are delivered to a high standard and in a timely manner for Senior Managers working on a wide range of projects that cover the broad spectrum of infrastructure engineering. The position will also require assisting the Proposal team and Project Managers with the preparation of CV's and project sheets. The ideal candidate has prior experience in proposal document development and effective written and verbal communication skills. A high level of attention to detail and an ability to meet deadlines are both important keys to success in this role. The ideal candidate should have good time and project proposal management skills to ensure that proposals and other deliverables are submitted accurately and on time.

+ Read and understand an RFP/RFQ and accurately prepare the proposal brief with data including deadlines, evaluation criteria, maximum page length, font size, restrictions on appendices, etc.
+ Gather proposal information for the draft proposal text outline including Corporate Overview, Supplier and Employee Diversity, Health and Safety Overview, and Quality Overview. Gather team member experience and qualifications as well as reference project details to be included in text or presented on tables.
+ On all proposals, schedule/facilitate contributions of all parties and ensure RFP compliance. Where several disciplines are involved in a submission, coordinate the information from the various disciplines in a manner that the submission has a uniform and coherent appearance, as well as a singular voice.
+ Prepare, maintain, and update complete various versions of company and project documentation including CVs and project sheets.
+ Assist with managing, monitoring and maintaining the proposal database, files, and systems through appropriate information management systems. Keep accurate records on proposals in progress, completed, wins, losses, etc.
+ Other duties as assigned/required.
+ Diploma or Graduate degree in a related field of study, such as Marketing, Communications or Business.
+ 3-6 or more years of experience in proposal development and coordination or similar environment such as marketing communications or an administrative role. Proposal, marketing or administrative experience in the Architecture/Engineering/Construction industries is considered an asset.
+ Strong English language spoken and writing skills - including attention to detail and ability to proofread and edit material, as well as an aptitude for understanding technical terminology.
+ Works well independently and with co-workers, responds to coaching and feedback well, and works well with staff at all levels across a large business line.
+ A self-motivated team member, who demonstrates initiative to go above and beyond the task at hand, and can effectively multitask.

+ Develop and update standardized tools and reporting systems for consistent access to learning data and generate both standard and custom reports.
