Role Overview
The Plant Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day management and operational performance of Jupalcos integrated manufacturing plant. The role focuses on achieving production targets, maintaining product quality, ensuring safe and efficient plant operations, and delivering customer commitments, while responding effectively to customer requirements and complaints. The Plant Manager will work closely with the Plant Head to execute strategic plans, drive operational excellence, and develop a strong workforce culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and control all aspects of plant operations, including Cast House, CRM, Finishing Lines, Maintenance, EHS, Quality Assurance, Production planning, Packing, and Dispatch.
- Deliver production and despatch volumes and quality standards in line with customer requirements and business objectives.
- Ensure adherence to safety, environmental, statutory, and quality compliance at all times.
- Drive operational excellence through lean manufacturing, TPM, digitization, and global best practices.
- Ensure robust systems for handling customer complaints, root cause analysis, and effective implementation of Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA)
- Plan and monitor preventive and predictive maintenance to maximize equipment uptime and reliability.
- Implement cost optimization initiatives across energy, materials, and operations.
- Build a culture of discipline, accountability, and continuous improvement across the workforce.
- Mentor, guide, and develop teams; ensure effective succession planning for critical roles.
- Coordinate with other functions (supply chain, commercial, HR, finance, etc.) for smooth and timely operations.
- Support capital investment projects, technology upgrades, and efficiency improvement initiatives.

Functional Skills
- Strong knowledge of metal manufacturing/rolling processes and integrated plant operations.

- Proven track record in managing large teams and multi-disciplinary functions.
- Proficiency in Lean, TPM, Six Sigma, and Industry 4.0 tools.
- Solid understanding of financial metrics and operational cost drivers.

- At least 7 to 10 years in senior plant leadership roles with direct accountability for production, quality, maintenance, and people management.
