The Opportunity

Reporting to the Senior Brand Manager (Welding Equipment, PPE and spares), the Technical Writer (Welding Equipment, PPE and spares) will be responsible for, but not limited to the following tasks:

  • Writing Operating Manuals – this will consist of 2 strategies: 1. CIGWELD are to provide the content and the candidate will format the content based on our template and style guide. 2. CIGWELD will provide the candidate the product and the candidate is to then write the operating manual themselves based on the product at hand – with of course the assistance of the CIGWELD team where applicable.
  • Preparing and providing Webpage content to local CIGWELD Marcoms team to update CIGWELD website
  • Writing of Blogs and Articles based on CIGWELD products
  • Development of Instruction sheets, Setup Guides and Welding Guides
  • Creating Product Data Sheets (PDS) based on CIGWELD template for various welding machines and PPE items
  • Proof reading technical content from brochures
  • Competitive Analysis on various products in the Australian and potentially South East Asia markets

Your focus will be to deliver increased and sustained value to the business by:

  • Assisting the Senior Brand Manager with managing the Welding Equipment product portfolio.
  • Project Managing the above CIGWELD responsibilities in order to meet product launch deadlines from suppliers – ie: Manual must be completed in time as requested by the supplier.


Shift : 8.00 am IST to 5.00 pm IST

The Candidate


  • You are a commercially focused individual who is committed to making a difference and furthering your career.
  • Applicants MUST be able to use Adobe InDesign and Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Applicants with WordPress skills as well as other Adobe software would be looked upon favorably.
  • Applicants must have a tertiary qualification in an Engineering, Electrical and/or Marketing discipline.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Sound presentation abilities are a must.
  • Team player with the ability to communicate and coordinate with multiple parties.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
